I purchased this board because I was fed up with with the ultra thin consumer grade boards you typically see at the big box retailers. The kind that are have a thin veneer of cork over hardboard. Worthless.

If your feel the same, this is the way to go. This is 100% fine cork bits pressed together to the selected thickness. In my case, I opted for the 1/2 inch. Well worth the extra investment.

I just screwed it directly to wall with some dry wall screws and it looks and works great. No backer board, no adhesive, just 6 screws (not included, no hanging hardware is).

These are small cork particles, not the larger bark type. The pictures are exactly as you will receive. So if you are after a chunkier natural decorative look, this isn't what you want. If you are after a cork board that will stand up to office use as a bulletin board, this is exactly what you want.

It was easy to trim for my application, just a good sharp utility knife and a metal straight edge.

I've already bought another one for another spot. The two function great!

Decided to create my own cork board with frame. This was a great cost option given that buying anything framed with cork that was nice is over $100 for this size. Bought some inexpensive molding and thin backing, glued it on and made my own for a fraction of the cost. Cork worked great.

I purchased the 1/2 inch think 24" x 36" cork sheet. I sliced it in half lengthwise (using an exacto knife) very easily. Using drywall screws, I attached the two cork sheet halves to the sides of a bookcase. The unframed, thick bulletin board has a contemporary look and is highly functional. I loved being able to custom cut the board to fit in the space that worked for me. The product arrived undamaged and seemed to have some integrity to it - it wasn't on the verge of crumbling. Liked it very much.

These are the perfect boards to put behind a map to hang on the wall. We ordered 6 of these to hang behind a map in my son's room. When they arrived, 2 where damaged. We altered the project (cut the map a bit here and there), and managed to only use 4. I contacted the company (CleverBrand Inc..) to return the 2 damaged boards. They REALLY wanted to send my out 2 new boards, rather than refund my money for the damaged boards, even though I explained that we made do with just 4. Then, they insisted on sending a UPS label so I could return the 2 damaged boards. Fine. I returned them. But, over a week after CleverBrand Inc. received the damaged boards, I still hadn't received a refund. I sent them an email to this effect and received a refund several days later. Overall, this entire project was more work than it should have been, from having to cut the map to having to contact the company multiple times.

I purchased this to be used behind a map. When I took it out of the box, the corner was broken off and there was a crack down the middle. I used wood glue to fix it because it was a project I wanted to finish right away. Once I glued the map to the cork board, I noticed that the map was bigger by about 1/2 inch. It turns out this cork board is not 24 x 36 as described, but 23 1/2 x 35 1/2. A half inch doesn't seem like too much, but when I went to frame the map in a 24 x 36 frame, it didn't fit correctly because the cork board was too small. I am definitely disappointed with this product.

I bought this cork and made a couple of bathmats for use out of the shower. It cut well to go on the slats and glued up easily and works good in soaking up water from the shower.

I homeschool 3 of my children and these cork sheets have been a much-needed investment for us! I purchased two sheets to create our school board. Before, nail holes, tape or blue sticky-tac was plastered all over the wall...but now, a beautifully defined area corrals all of the important papers. I secured the sheets with some screws I had laying around; I am very impressed with the quality and durability of the cork. For others doing research, this thickness is worth investing in. The normal push-pins need at LEAST the 3/8" to not poke through to the wall. This is the one you've been looking for!

I used these three sheets of corkboard to make a 36 x 72 inch bulletin board in an antique baroque frame -- padded with quilt batting and then covered in an elegant fabric. Had to provide a backing of thin paneling -- but, it worked very well and my client was extremely pleased. Was much better than the very thin corkboard that I had used in the past for such projects.
