... Got it a little more then 3 weeks now and very satisfied with it. The package came with VGA cable, S-Video cable, manual, CD Driver, registration card, speaker cable, and power cord. No DVI cable though. In the left hand side there were the S-Video plug and the 3-end Video plug that you can plug the monitor into the VCR, PS2, or XBOX, etc. The S-Video plug is for S-Video capable devices. In the back, there were the DVI port to plug in your DVD Player, or video cards that supports DVI output. The CATV or antena was there for you to plug in Cable TV or regular antena. Of course the VGA for PC monitor itself was there along with another Audio in and out port. You can use these ports and the one-end cable provided and plug one end to the Audio in into the computer speaker, then the speaker plug goes into the Audio out port so that you have sound for both PC and TV. The built in speakers were kinna weak therefore I recommended transfer the audio into different devices using the above method. I am thinking of getting a DVI to VGA converter that would convert my VGA connection to a DVI Connection and hope that it has greater graphic performance. Not sure on this one, I need to research more.

The monitor has excellent graphics in all of the functions of DVI, VGA (PC), TV, S-Video, Composite. The response time between modes is pretty quick. It has self signal detection feature that would auto detect for signal on all the modes. If you mess around with the video settings a bit you'll get extremely clear graphics for PC and TV.

The right-hand side there supposed to be USB ports but the model CT1702T does not equip with USB ports I think. The overall monitor was black and very slim that brings you the look of a modern monitor. A remote control was also came with the monitor for convenient access. It also equipped with ez to touch buttons in the front panel.

Overall, this one product is a excellent product that I would recommend in buying.

Hope this review clears up somethings for those who still had doubts.

5.0 out of 5 stars Happy user, November 20, 2002
By A Customer
I ordered this monitor with great hesitation. I was reluctant to order a monitor from a company that I had never heard of, sight unseen. Sure enough, the monitor arrived dead - all pixels were white regardless of the mode (analog, digital, TV, etc.). I called Cornea's service number and (on the first ring) talked to someone who shipped a replacement monitor to me. I unpacked the replacement, put the dead one in the box and dropped it off at a UPS center (they paid postage both ways).

The monitor is great! I use is with a DVI cable with my Mac. The VGA cable is ready to hook up to my XP laptop if I want to run dual screens. The video/TV functions are nice. Bright colors and high contrast in all modes.

The only weakness is the sound, but it can run a pair of external computer speakers or hook up to a regular stereo with no trouble.

4.0 out of 5 stars It works for me., September 11, 2002

I quite like this monitor/TV. We have the computer in our bedroom and now we can also watch TV in bed (ER is on a bit late after all).

This monitor can be used in five modes Analog, Digital, S-Video, Composite Video and TV. Also it has internal loudspeakers and a remote.

As a computer monitor it is reasonable. I have only used it in the Analog mode (VGA connector). One can see a "shadow" behind the letters and one needs to play for quite while with the auto, size and phase settings to get the optimal picture. I have not tried the digital mode (DVI connector).

As a TV monitor one can either use RCA style inputs for composite video, or the s-video connector. The picture is very good and most importantly; it works with both European PAL signals and American NTSC signals. The electronics figures out what signals it is and adjusts its settings automatically. Niiice.

This unit also works as a TV. One needs to fiddle a bit with brightness, contrast and solor settings a bit, but then the picture is OK. The sound is just mono though and the internal loudspeakers are very small making the sound a bit thin. Also, one can not switch on the captions.

This set comes with a remote; which is the flimsiest, tiniest one I ever saw. It is a credit card sized thingy powered by Li coin battery. It has calculator style buttons for sound, channel up/down menu etc. I better get a "replace all" remote because I doubt this thing is going to have a long life.

To change between all these modes one can use the select button on the monitor or the remote. It takes quite a while to go from monitor to TV. One can only cycle trough the modes sequentially and witch each step the screen goes black for a few second.

I think that this unit was for the money a good buy. Also it looks quite nice even when it is switched off.

Sleek looking monitor, but if you are going to use mainly as a television, beware. When switching between cable channels, this set is apparently unable to regulate the brightness or contrast of the picture, so that every time you switch channels you will have to spend minutes fiddling with the brightness and contrast controls. If you are at all a channel surfer, you will be very unhappy. Other than this problem, the picture for television is, in my opinion, mediocre, and does not compare to even bottom of the line crt televisions.

5.0 out of 5 stars Cornea Monitor w/ TV Tuner, March 7, 2003
By A Customer
Received my monitor yesterday, on the exact day it was supposed to come, despite an 8 inch snowfall. A dont understand what all the complaints are about. Mine is nearly perfect. The only draw back is the slow speed when changing between modes (analog, digital, composite, s-video, tuner.) Aside from that, it is great. And even this complaint is negligible. And the price was outstanding. Other sites had the same monitor at nearly $300 more, what a rip-off.

Installation takes 2 seconds, after you figure out that the power supply doesnt plug directly into the monitor. There is an intermediate connection that has to be made first. The remote is full sized (but it has 8 unidentified buttons, for what, I dont know???) I have been playing MOHAA Spearhead without any issues like ghosting. In fact, the quality is better than on my $400 Viewsonic CRT. And watching a DVD was such a treat.

And the picture. I had to turn the brightness down. Adjusting contrast and brightness is easy both through the remote and the buttons on the panel. Black actually looks black. Colors are vivid and true, but different than on a CRT. It takes a bit of getting used to. Not better or worse, but different. Certainly, you can look at the screen for longer periods without eye strain.

The TV tuner is such a nice feature. The TV quality isnt perfect, but thats more a signal issue than a tuner issue. I am sure with digital cable or satelite the quality would be far better.

I highly recommend this product. Im no monitor expert, but to my largely untrained eye it looks incredible.

3.0 out of 5 stars Close but no cigar..., April 16, 2003

Outside of the normal limitations of LCD's in general and considering the price for this 17" monitor/tv I got what I paid for (excuse the poor syntax). But what prevented me from rating this monitor any higher than 3 stars is the fact that there were three stuck pixels and Cornea has a four bad pixel policy before considering repair/replacement of the unit. I learned this from their website as they had no responded to repeated email inquiries which I made and still have not received a response from them since February 2003. It wouldn't be so bad if the pixels were located somewhere other than near the center of the display.

5.0 out of 5 stars almost all you wanted for a LCD at a great price, January 28, 2003

(REAL NAME)
I have been keeping an eye on this monitor for a while. I finally made my purchasing when it fell below $[money amount] ($[money amount] to be exact). It come in with a relative slime package, and the monitor itself is quite compact too. The stand can be fully folded to the back, unlike other LCDs, which come on top of a bulky stand. The CT1702 has everything I wanted: TV tuner, DVI, S-video, RCA, and Audio-Out ports. With the TV tuner and the remote, I feel like that I am watching a real TV set. It is perfect for my bedroom. As a mornitor, the CT1702 is also a pretty good one. There is no dead pixel. two out of my other three LCD have two dead pixels. The screen is very bright, I have to turn down the brightness so that it will not hurt my eyes. Some adjustment is also needed to optimize the desktop display. The horizontal viewing anger is great. I felt that the contrast is on the weak side when comparing with top in line LCDs, but the response time looks quite good to me (rated at 25ms, which is common for good LCDs). The speakers is weak, and sounds cheap. This is not really a problem since I actually prefer to output the audio signal to my mini system.
The only things I am not completely satisfied is the slow transition in mode changes. I would also like it have PIP function. For less then $[money amount], CT1702 offers the most feature you can get for a LCD. There are some other "brand" LCD offer much less for much more $. I recommend this LCD if you want something more than just a monitor. The price for LCD is dropping quickly, and supply seems ample. You are probably looking for a unit for $[money amount]-$money amount] in the near future.

4.0 out of 5 stars Does Decent Job, April 14, 2003
By A Customer
This review is from: Cornea Systems CT1503 15" LCD Flat Panel Monitor with TV Tuner (Electronics)
While the CATV reception is not as crisp as a traditional TV, it is acceptable. If space is not an issue (depth of tube), then a traditional TV is a better choice. If space is an issue, this monitor offers good trade-offs. In addition to the compact size, the price is far better than the LCD TVs. We are very satisified with the performance and the warranty.

Amazon Verified Purchase(What's this?)
This review is from: Cornea Systems CT1503 15" LCD Flat Panel Monitor with TV Tuner (Electronics)
I was researching an LCD TV for my bedroom for a month before I came to the conclusion that this one featured on Amazon.com is the lowest price out there. Although I was looking at other factors aside from price, but price was among my top three.

My first requiremnt was picture quality, then price, then reviews based on other users. Let's just point out right now for the record that as a person that's on the computer an average of 10 hours a day and does a lot of online researching and online shopping, Amazon.com has mastered online shopping for one main reason, the users review are wonderful and really make you confident when you are looking at millions of possible items.

I read the reviews about this product and saw nothing but good words. I will be the next to give this item rave reviews.
I waited a couple of months to review it so I can give a fair and accurate review, I have owned it now for 3 months.

*PRICE: As mentioned before, you cannot get lower that this for the quality and looks

*LOOKS: It is gorgeous, unique design, very very very thin, black on silver makes it very attractive

*PICTURE: The resolution on for the television mode and monitor mode could not be better, being in the computer field and always have top of the line equipment at work, this is the best resolution screen I have EVER had!

*SOUND: There were some complaints from other reviewers on sound and I was worried when I received it, but I use it in my condo bedroom, and sometimes even when it is on high I still never have noticed any poor sound quality, it is perfect for bedroom use!

*INSTALL: Although I am a computer exert, I'm not an electrical expert and was a bit worried that I would have problems installing this since I also had a digital cable box from COX and High Speed Internet, but it was a so easy, did it in a few minutes once I had all the proper cords/wires

*EASE OF USE: You won't even need a manual to use this, easy, self explanatory, literally just plug in and enjoy!

*SIZE: Very compact, very slim, it is a lot slimmer than many LCD screens out there that don't even have a tv tuner

*ADDITIONALS: I must warn you, if you are also connecting this to digital cable you will have an added [$$$] cost for buying all the cables to connect

*TV & MONITOR: Other reviewers mentioned that it was a bit slow going from different modes i.e. monitor to TV, this is such a small set-back you get used to it and you are so happy with this tv/monitor that you won't even care!

ADVICE: If you are also connecting to digital cable and high speed internet modem, buy good wired to connect these, I don't remember the names of the wires you need but there are 2, buy the ones with atleast 2GHZ even though COX will tell you all you need is 1GHZ. It makes a lot of difference is resolution and quality!

All I have to say is buy buy buy and buy from Amazon.com too, you get it sent to you for ... at a price that no one will believe!
Hope my experience helped.
