In this second comic tale about energetic pig Cornelius P. Mud, he goes through his morning routine preparing for school. His mother calls questions, such as "Are you up?" from another room, and Cornelius truthfully answers "yes" to each. The illustration for that particular question shows Cornelius floating upside down attached to a bunch of balloons. Has Cornelius made his bed? Yep, he's made it look like an elephant, and he's put his clothes onthe goldfish bowl. But when asked if he's ready for school, the answer is a resounding "NO!" The missing step is a kiss, readily supplied to Cornelius by his mother before he boards the bus for Clown School. It's easy to follow the action, since Cornelius and his props fill each large double-page spread and clearly stand out against brightly colored, uncluttered backdrops. The cheerful colors and Cornelius' lively antics make his world the happy-go-lucky kind of place that children enjoy visiting. Enos, Randall
