I am an esthetician (skin care therapist). And buying wax spatulas, which are exactly like these (tongue depressors), are very expensive at the beauty store! So I saw these and felt it was a great item for cheaper, and with more for your buck! I'm very happy with my purchase, thank you!

These are great for body waxing in large areas such as legs. I use wooden coffee stirrers for smaller areas such as eyebrows. Never waste money on buying "waxing sticks" from a beauty supply store because it is much more expensive for a much smaller quantity of the same exact thing.

I'm sure most people use these for crafts and the quality is not terribly important. But, I used them for some laboratory experiments. The quality is uneven. Most, 95%, sticks are the same. But about 1 in 20 is cracked, too thin, or has variations in thickness. For the money, I guess it's OK to throw out 5% of them.

What can I say, these are just as I expected. Great size - bigger than Popsicle sticks but not so big that they are hard to use. We made a game called "zap" with them (if you're interested: we wrote down all the letters and star words my son is learning in kindergarten and then put them writing side down into a cup, take turns pulling a stick and then say the letter and sound or word on the stick. If you get the stick that says "zap" you have to put your sticks back. person with the most sticks at the end wins!) We also used them to make puppets. Nice!

These sticks are completely serviceable sticks. They're not outstanding in any way but they are adequate and did the job for me. Maybe it's nostalgia, but these are just not as good as the craft sticks (aka tongue depressors or "popsicle sticks") I remember from my childhood. They are relatively thin. Most of these are not perfectly flat; they are sort of convex on one side. I used these for labeling plants and writing on them with a Sharpie worked just fine. I wouldn't patch your yacht with them or anything but they'd probably be fine for whatever.

I've been buying these sticks and the smaller sized ones from this company for almost a year for my waxing business. Quality is great, consistent. Same price as the craft store but I can order a large quantity and it's much easier to have them delivered (free shipping) to my salon door. But the recent, huge increase in price is ridiculous. The other size box has DOUBLED in price here on Amazon while the price at the craft store has stayed the same. I'll just have to make swinging by the craft store a regular part of my supply run.

As a teacher I can't have enough of these! I use them for all kinds of things from science and engineering to labeling (and of course, pulling sticks with names on them!!). I have bought "off-brand" popsicle sticks before thinking there would be no distinctive difference but boy was I wrong. Woodsies are the way to go! They're thick so they don't break easily. They are also well-shaved so you don't get splinters while handling them. I had no trouble writing on them with a sharpie.

These sticks are a little softer than I had hope for. They break and splinter easily although the splinters are not sharp enough to get under the skin, they could easily hurt an eye or get caught in a throat. We supervise the 3 year old carefully when she plays with these. Funny thing is, she does not want to make things with they, she wants to push them all around in her grocery cart. These are really not for heavy duty use though.
