Smith, Captain in Absentia, now stationed at Great Lakes Naval Training School with Michigan Naval Reserves. This was during the time of the First World War. This was also the first year back in the "Big Ten" for University of Michigan after withdrawing over some controversy in 1907. The last football season played in the Big Ten was apparently 1905 before this year. Illustrated with photos throughout of the players, coaches, football play in action, etc. Writings about the history of Michigan Football, a review of the teams and the game, Michigan songs, etc. Cover shows normal signs of use/age for this item. Light edge/use/shelf wear. Includes advertisements for local businesses. 35 pages.
