I can't believe nobody's said anything yet!, August 24, 2006
This review is from: The Corner of an Unlit World (Audio CD)
This album is excellent, plain and simple. Jesse has proven time and time again that he could easily break into the mainstream if he chose to and more than likely top the artists that are already there.
Now, christian listeners might be shocked to hear the slight bit of profanity in "Over Land and Dimly Lit Skies," but Jesse himself tells me that this album is just an honest expression, a venting, of the things he was feeling at the time, and that removing such a word as f*** would compromise the song. I, for one, am refreshed by this complete honesty, you don't see a lot of that in music today or in the world in general really.
I believe my favorite songs off of this album would be "Jimmy" and "The Beauty of Pain and the Life Which Springs From Death."
