I guess I should have known that the loose leaf version would be flimsy, but at the time I thought it would be good to slip notes and handouts directly into the book.

No pages have torn off yet, but I worry about it every time I stuff the binder into my backpack. I'll update this review after my semester is over if my worries were unwarranted.

As for the content, I don't have any complaints. It's a textbook. About Accounting. I don't think anybody bought this because of the great reviews; they were forced to by their prof.

The book arrived in differing condition as stated in their post, not new. Also, they emptied their garbage in the box for packing.

This is my textbook this semester, and going through the Ch. 8 problems I have found two formulas on the inside front cover of the book that are just flat out wrong. 1 and 6 specifically My mid-term is tomorrow night and having to decrypt where my textbook is wrong is not a productive use of my time. A student should have a basic trust that the information presented in their textbook is factual. I have lost that trust, and will now spend the rest of the semester second-guessing everything the book presents. Thanks for the extra work Maryanne Mowen, Don Hansen and Dan Heitger.

It's a great book, the "cornerstones" are really helpful in understanding the concepts. I'd say it's a good accounting book. Better than my book I had for fundamentals

Chapters have good review questions and so far the questions are exactly like the examples in the book, just different numbers. This is good so you can see how they solved the problem.

I've taken Managerial Accounting three times before taking class with this book. This book was much easier to understand than the last. Don't get me wrong, I got straight As in college, but for some reason I just didn't understand it the past few times.

Let's put it this way, I really don't enjoy accounting anyway, but this book took my dislike to a whole new level. Poorly written with examples that aren't really useful mingle with problems that throw in unexpected variables with no explanation on how to solve the problem. Irritating, ponderous, and unwieldy I can assure you that once you use this, you will be completely confused.

I wish I would have known that my professor was going to use the CengageNOW website. I would have skipped buying the text as it's available online for $70 - and it offers much more through the website.

However, I got it at a good price after some competitive research - but it's still a bit much for a text book. And it was like it really was a new book, but it was pushed as a like new book - I got more than I expected.

The book I ordered was recieved in excellent condition and in a timely manner. The book was exactly as described. Highly recommend this seller.

This book is brand new and never been used! It is a great buy and is at a great price.
