Very nice sound for its size.

The advantage of using a USB stick is to load 500-1000 songs and not have to deal with CDs anymore.

If you are looking for a system that is dual-voltage and that can play music off a USB stick, it is one of the few systems that can do that. The advantage of using a USB stick is to load 500-1000 songs and not have to deal with CDs anymore.
Music quality is ok - not great but not bad ether.
The frame looks good but the quality is not too good - i.e. buttons are hard to press, a lot of times it either does not skip forward a folder or skips forward 2 folders instead of one.
Amn really suprised that the remote does not have a volume control button.
Overall i would buy it again but only for the dual-voltage and USB stick features. If you do not need these features then there are better systems.

I bought this unit July 11, 2011 under the CRAIG name (CD 6948) at a Zellers store in Ontario, no remote offered and I'm completely satisfied with it. I'm playing it non-stop with no problems whatsoever. Four speakers including a separate tweeter on both sides, beautiful crisp clear well modulated sound, the analog AM and FM tuners are sensitive and useful, I'm getting 100+ songs on a 1GB USB memory stick and also a standard SD photo card. I just plugged in an 8GB USB (with 411 songs on it) to see if it would read it and zero problems. CD/MP3 player also works flawlessly. For me, it's perfect for nearly unlimited background music anywhere I plug it in. I don't know why these boxes are nearly impossible to find in the U.S., I guess all 300 million people here own an I-POD and need units with only I-Pod cradles. Having total and easy edit control of which songs you want on a particular memory card (buy a six pack of 2GB's at Amazon) is amazing. The velvety memory card music comes out of a background of complete silence--- no moving parts.

I ordered this because I needed a radio that would play music from my USB Flash Drive. It works good for that. My only gripe would be that the batteries drain quickly from this radio versus others that I have had and also it could be louder.

The body of the radio itself seems cheaply put together. Not falling apart, just seems like the quality could have been a little better. Other than that, it is a good deal for the money. I probably will buy a more expensive one next time with the hopes of a better overall quality radio.

I usually don't like to give one star ratings, since people usually complain about a defect of the part. In this case my boombox works just fine.

But it is a piece of junk. Cheap quality made in China. If you are looking for something that just works randomly, go ahead.
I put brand new CD's inside, doesn't read them. After 10 tries it might work. Then you want to restart the CD and it doesn't work again. Why am IK buying a boombox that just work sometimes and don't return it?

Well, if you buy a prdouct from DISCOUNTJUNGLE aka RIP OFF JUNGLE you should read the fine print!!

First of all: 20$ for shipping in the United States!!!!!
Second you can only return it in brand new conditions, even when it's broke (and mine is not broke it is just a piece of crap).
Then you have to pay for the complete shipping transaction back and fourht when you return it.

So this means you will pay more for returning it that for a new product from Bestbuy.

Here what they write:

If you are returning a defective item and do not want a replacement, there will be a 10% processing fee applied to your return.
Items returned as defective that are found not to be defective will incur a 15% restocking fee for the returned unit, therefore we suggest contacting the manufacturer as listed in your owners manual for support prior to requesting a return authorization.
Refunds will not be issued if a return is made without a RMA # (Return Merchandise Authorization).
Shipping charges are not refundable.

The only surprising, kind of unusual thing about this product that I have discovered is that it does not have a headphone jack. But it is exactly what I was looking for, with aux in functionality serving as a speaker system for my smart phone music, as well as ability to play CDs, and also ability to use a USB stick and SD card. Very nice sound for its size. Overall I am very pleased. Radio works, but analog tuner is mediocre. The remote control is limited in its functionality, but the functionality does apply to both CDs as well as navigating USB and SD media.

I have had this 2 years now and it still works as new, it's lightweight and love the fact that I can use memory card also to listen to my music while I clean, great little sound machine and fairly loud especially for the size and price...It is worth the price

PROS:
- Can play music from the AM/FM radio, CDs, MP3 CDs, SD cards, flash drives (USB) or other MP3 players via line-in (AUX) port
- Tracks can be set to play in random order while both tracks and albums can be set to play repeatedly
- Up to 99 tracks can be arranged in a playlist (called "Program List" in the boombox's manual) and played accordingly. However identifying the tracks that you want in your playlist can be a problem (see second-last con)
- Portable and fairly light

CONS:
- When playing music from SD cards or flash drives the last few seconds of a track do not play. This is most annoying when the track ends within 2 or 3 seconds after the music's end. The music then sounds as if someone had pulled the plug a few seconds before the performers actually finished.
- Searching for tracks is quite crude as it's limited either to skipping backward or forward one track at a time or only forward ten tracks at a time per press of the button (no searching by album/folder is possible). This means that searching for a track in a list of a few hundred MP3 files can be a pain (moving to the 201th file would require the user to press the button at least 20 times)
- No remote control included but this seems to depend on the batch produced as some apparently do come with remote control
- No bass boost or adjustable EQ
- Tag information for MP3 files not displayed; information is limited to the file being assigned a number
- Default order of music as played from SD card or USB follows the order in which the albums or tracks were loaded or edited on the flash drive/SD card. Therefore if you want your music to play with albums arranged alphabetically then you need to load the album that starts with "A" before "B" and so on.
