These are pretty, and good to serve food in to make a nice matching table. It's useful because you can put the food in these in the oven to keep warm until you can serve then.

But these are NOT mixing bowls by any stretch of the imagination. They are very heavy. Because of the heaviness of them, they honestly don't see much use except on the occasional holiday I'll pull them out.

These bowls look so pretty on a table with the rest of my chutney dishes and I can use them to cook things like vegetables in the microwave and bring them steaming hot right to the dinner table. The 3 sizes are handy for a variety of cooking and serving situations and then they go right in the dishwasher! I really love them!

I also bought these to go with a set for mom. She loves them.

These bowls can be used in the oven and the edges remain cool enough to touch. The ensemble matches the baking set and my wife is very happy.

These are extremely thick and heavy. They nest nicely though. But they are not very useful. Way too heavy!

The Chutney bowls are heavier than the usual corelle dinnerware, but that's what makes them so nice! They come in 3 sizes, with the large bowl being big enough for a large batch of mashed potatoes. They complement and complete the dinnerware set.

I bought these for my mother. She is happy with them and finds all kinds of ways to use them.

With the smallest bowl, there are smaller portions. It is not the size that we so longingly seek, but the treat. Portions can be, and should be, replaced before handing the bowl over to the sink. These joyous, simple bowls provide in their brevity a bounty burgeoning from each mouthful of dairy pleasure.

Decide how much ice cream to have, after staring wantonly into the carton, and, with no deliberation, scoop up the precious sweet concoction. With a bowl a third the size of your usual serving, enjoy the same, but three times as often.

With the final lingering of liquid, the last delicate dripping of ice cream, there is resident joy. It is in the eager sweeping of the spoon which captures the chocolate caught along the bottom. That is where it is, when gravity pulls the once frozen dessert to where the spoon finds it most attractive.

The weight and build of this bowl is sturdy and heavy, allowing daily use.
