4.0 out of 5 stars Portion Control Helper
I already owned 3 of these dishes and wanted several more to help with dieting and portion control. They're great to freeze anything, then heat in the microwave and even eat out of. THE ONLY THING I was disappointed about with these new ones I ordered was that the dishes' bottom rims are rough and seem unfinished whereas my older ones are smooth. I'm afraid these new...

3.0 out of 5 stars Lids hard to get off
I don't know why this style of lid is so widely used by companies now. They are sure hard to get off. If you have a hot dish in them, wow! Can one get burned. I am wary using these items, along with my newer pieces of Pyrex (they're exploding at times), as I have read that these are cracking after proper use. I have developed a saying as of late, "not for any price,...

4.0 out of 5 stars Portion Control Helper, March 11, 2006
This review is from: CorningWare French White 15-Ounce Oval Dish (Kitchen)
I already owned 3 of these dishes and wanted several more to help with dieting and portion control. They're great to freeze anything, then heat in the microwave and even eat out of. THE ONLY THING I was disappointed about with these new ones I ordered was that the dishes' bottom rims are rough and seem unfinished whereas my older ones are smooth. I'm afraid these new ones will scrape my countertop or table. Because they're such great little dishes, I decided not to return them. If that's the way Corningware is making them now, I'm disappointed, but I will just have to remember to be careful not to slide them across nice surfaces.

5.0 out of 5 stars The perfect size!, December 24, 2008
Amazon Verified Purchase(What's this?)

At first I thought it was too small - but I was wrong. It is perfect for bringing my lunch to work (microwave use). With the need to get rid of all the plastic in our lives, this is the perfect addition to my lunch bag!

4.0 out of 5 stars Good product!!, December 6, 2007

A great product!! Reheats food pretty good in the microwave and the lid it brings with the pop ins is a good ideal and it helps the lid to stay on but still heats the center of the food!! The dish since it's stoneware it heats faster and cleaning is a breeze..It doesn't stain the dish even though it stains the lid but hopefully corningware will make stain free lids someday too!! Other then that I love corningware & corelle products!!

4.0 out of 5 stars can't see dish because is white, August 11, 2010
This review is from: CorningWare French White 15-Ounce Oval Dish (Kitchen)
The problem here is that the dish is so white you can't really see it. Amazon needs to find a way to make a white dish visible so you can see what you are getting.
