The lid does not fit very securely and I thought it was defected and ordered a replacement, which doesn't fit as well. It slips around and won't give the seal that I was hoping for when cooking certain recipes.

I purchased this item to replace the same item I broke a month ago. It was very hard to find this specific size and shape of the Corningware piece. The lid that came with it was obviously not a match for it, but I didn't care cause I had a lids that will fit it better. Overall, it came just as described.
