Everything looks better on a square plate. These are pretty, very durable (got mine in college 4 years ago)and economical! Our table always looks well dressed with these plates.

I got one set of this a few years ago from a store. I'd been wanting another set and was thrilled to see it here on Amazon. Unfortunately the set arrived with every single coffee mug broken. Luckily none of the other items sustained any damage so I didn't bother having the mugs replaced. The set itself is lovely and durable....but not apparently durable enought to survive whatever happened in the course of shipping.

This is a great set. I was worried about the state in which they would be delivered after reading many of the reviews. Not only was it delivered promptly (in 48 hours! with free standard shipping), it was well packed and nothing was broken. I already had a set for 8 and needed more for guests. I was happy to find them online at Amazon.com on sale. These dishes are simple, modern, and easy to care for. Highly recommended!

I've owned this set for a few years, and have enjoyed it so much that I wanted more pieces. As I couldn't find it anywhere else, I ordered it from Amazon. Today I received it, but as mentioned by someone else, the packaging was horrible and pieces were broken. The dishes themselves are quite nice [I always get compliments] but the shipping seems to be risky.

Well, the title pretty much sums it up! I almost didn't order the dishes because they arrived broken for so many people, but I REALLY wanted them, so after a few days of thinking it over, I took the plunge. I am so glad I did!!

The box was delivered earlier today, less than a week after I placed the order. Each and every piece in the set was wrapped in a layer of cardboard with more cardboard around that, so I'm happy to report that there is not a scratch, chip, or crack to be found.

Each piece has a very nice weight and I love the shapes of the plates, bowls, and mugs. The simplicity of the white color will be fun to dress up for various occasions. Very nice set! I'm expecting to enjoy these dishes for many years to come.

The item is great and is definitely worth $30, but Amazon needs to work on their shipping department. I got one box in and it was in perfect condition. The next box was just full of broken plates, cups, bowls, etc. The sent UPS back to pick it up and sent me a new one, and it was the same way. That's 2 different shipments that seemed damaged before it was even shipped, because the UPS box wasn't damaged at all. Atleast, I got a refund, but having to go through all this trouble, I should have received the items for free.

I probably won't order from Amazon again... Ebay is much more reliable.

Purchased this 16 piece set locally. Awesome dinner ware. Ordered another here and when it arrived, it was like broken mosaic tile. Very poorly packaged and not one piece was intact. Returning for refund and hesitant to order again. As for the actual corningware "just white" product...5 stars

These dishes are great. I already have a serving for eight. I have had them for over 5 years. I plan to have them for many more and simply bought another 4-person place setting.

I searched for this set for a long time. I was thrilled to find it on Amazon 2 years ago, and bought it. It has held up in the dishwasher, and it looks great with on the table. I love the square plates, the coffee mugs are the perfect size. I would recommend this set to anyone, too bad they are discontinued. Sometimes you can find them in discount stores though, so dont be discouraged if you are looking for a set.

This is my first time ordering from Amazon. Could not be more satisfied. The product was readily available and shipped promptly. Very well packed. The dinnerware quality was higher than my expectation. Could not wait to remove my old set of dinnerware and start using my new. My children love the square plates and deep bowls. Also, the best price around!
