I purchased this set at Sam's Club for under $35. I just wanted good-quality food storage containers with glass lids, primarily for use in the refrigerator and microwave oven.

Good thing I found that deal, because the 2- and 3-qt. rectangular casseroles do not have glass lids. I don't know why CorningWare has chosen not to include glass lids for these 2 casseroles, but it's royally annoying. I'm not impressed with the plastic lids. They don't look like they're going to last long, and I'm not sure they're not going to get stained. I don't even know if the plastic is PBA free. For these reasons, I only want the glass lids... another reason not to pay full price for this set.

On the plus side:
**CorningWare advertises that all CorningWare® oven bakeware products (including metallic banded French White® products) can be used in conventional, convection, toaster and microwave ovens; and in the refrigerator, freezer and dishwasher.
**CorningWare Simply Lite is made in the USA.
**Unlike stoneware, vitrelle glass can be soaked.
**Vitrelle glass is lightweight; looks and feels just like Corelle Livingware dinnerware.
**I like the design and fit of the glass lids.
**The casseroles and lids are easy to store.
**The solid white color goes with anything.

Prior reviews must have been by CorningWare employees.

1) Product photos cleverly "suggest" they stack inside one another. They do not.

2) For some reason only 2 of 4 sizes come with glass lids - all 4 do have plastic lids.

3) Unlike another review, I do NOT have Arthritis and find it very difficult to remove plastic lids; especially when dish comes out for the refrigerator. Look at the photo and ask how you would hold the dish as you pry-up on lid-removal TAB? The rounded bottom makes this an interesting task.
