I do NOT have Arthritis and find it nearly impossible to remove plastic lids; especially when dish comes out for the refrigerator. Look at the photo and ask yourself how/where you would hold the dish as you pry-up on lid-removal TAB? The rounded bottom makes this an interesting task. "Bakeware" but only (2) dishes have glass lids.

This product is Corelle vitrelle glass, not the porcelain or ceramic Corningware of the 1970s & 1980s. The Corelle is lighter in weight, and less versatile. For example, it's not for stovetop use. The design limits of vitrelle prevent the vessels from having ideal shapes, so the lids tend to slide off. We returned this item and bought vintage CorningWare on eBay.

I BOUGHT A SET FOR MYSELF AND A SET FOR MY ARTHRITIC MOTHER. I LIKE BEING ABLE TO REPLACE MY CLUNKY SET AND AM VERY HAPPY WITH EVEN THE LID...ABOUT WHICH I HAVE HEARD OTHER COMPLAINTS...I THINK ITS PERFECT FOR SOMEONE WHO MIGHT HAVE TROUBLE WITH GRASPING AND JUST FINE FOR THOSE OF US WHO DON'T.
