Book Description

Rose Tevelyan Trilogy November 1, 2003
Artist Rose Trevelyan lives a peaceful life in her cottage overlooking Mount s Bay in Cornwall, sketching on the beach at Mousehole when the weather is fine, or taking photographs of the harbour at Newlyn to be sold as postcards in the local gift shops in towns dotted around the coast. Always willing to lend a helping hand to those in need, Rose often finds herself drawn into the oddest situations. Of course, being naturally curious, Rose finds it very hard to let an unsolved puzzle pass her by, even when the consequences of her actions mean her own tranquil lifestyle becomes somewhat stormy... With a cast of colourful characters and the beautiful county of Cornwall as the backdrop, this omnibus edition brings together for the first time three engrossing mysteries featuring amateur sleuth Rose Trevelyan - Snapped in Cornwall, Buried in Cornwall and Framed in Cornwall.

Editorial Reviews

Review

"The reader is fortunate to have these three novels in a single package, since the connecting thread is a fascinating one -- Rose's complex personality, her rocky relationship with men, and her clever resolution of the murders she encounters. If there's a flaw in this series of narratives it's the occasionally inadequate explanation of just how Rose arrives at these solutions. . . .Readers . . . will find a marvelous depiction of Cornish life, with a delightful protagonist and satisfying plots." This review is from: The Cornish Novels Omnibus (Rose Tevelyan Trilogy) (Paperback)
I like this series. The setting in Cornwall is a big plus, as the author now and then describes some of the natural beauty of the area. They are well-written mysteries, and this omnibus volume is a less expensive way to get hold of 3 of them. The only slight difficulty is the heaviness of the book and the tiny print. But, although small, I could still read it.
