My husband and I bought this doll for our daughter who is 9. She had wanted a baby doll that looked real, and one that she could make and buy clothes for. She is so happy. We have other little girls in our neighborhood aged 5, 7, and 8 who also think this doll is amazing, and want to play with her... so Bebe Cheri gets taken outside a lot, but she cleans up nicely and still smells wonderful. I'm really surprised at how this doll has become a neighborhood favorite, especially among girls who before took no interests in our daughters dolls. The doll itself has a beautiful little baby face, and she is snuggly and soft, the plastic head, legs and arms are not too hard to cuddle up with but also not too soft that they smush when you touch them, like most of the other dolls weve had. I think what is most impressive about this particular doll is the very accurate look of her hands feet and eyes. She looks so real that we've had neighbors mistake her for a real baby when they come over, something my daughter loves. We have 6 children, and as you can imagine the price of this doll was high for us... but we have not regretted the decision. This baby is not made in China, doesn't require batteries or make any irritating sounds, and is perfect for snuggling with while reading playing or sleeping. We have been very happy with her and our daughter loves this doll like no other. A wonderful pruchase.

Initially purchased doll to use as a mannequin to display our silver jingle bells anklet however was not the right fit. Children fell in love with the toy and my youngest has to have him wherever we go. The baby toy scent is so yummy and sweet. We currently have the toy on our vacation and the girls love taking care of him and changing his clothes. I am certain this baby doll will be a part of our family and handed down.

My daughter was given this doll by her Great Grandfather this week. The doll is so life size at 20 inches long and wears real baby clothes. She has the most wonderful smell...like a sugar cookie or vanilla. I was very pleased with the quality for the price of this doll. We will buy more Corolle dolls in the future.

Update Dec 21, 2010: I confirmed with someone who works at Corolle that this doll is indeed designed in France and made in Spain, just like it says on the box.

I am very happy with this baby doll. It is exceptionally beautiful with a sweet and adorable face. I bought 3 baby outfits for it (size 3 to 6 months old), and the doll is just the right size for the clothes. The vanilla scent is very pleasant, not overpowering at all. You can pretend this doll is a boy or a girl, depending on how you want to dress it. My favorite feature about this doll is that it is lifesize. I have seen other "baby dolls that look real", but in my opinion this is by far the best looking one because the face is so cute, sweet and adorable. Lots of fun to hold and cuddle. I can highly recommend this toy as a gift for that special child in your life, or even as a gift for yourself.

I bought a different and less expensive large doll from Toys R Us and ended up returning it because the quality was so poor. I ended up ordering this doll off Amazon in hopes the higher price tag would produce a nicer doll for my daughter's 3rd birthday. I was very pleased when it arrived. The doll and outfit were very nice. The doll even smelled good. The doll is huge and fits size 3-6 month baby clothes. I went to a consignment clothing shop and found some adorable baby outfits for $3-$8 each including hats, socks, and bibs. I even found a winter coat for it. I also bought it real diapers, which are much nicer and less expensive than doll diapers. My daughter plays with it every day. She calls it her big baby.

The doll is beautiful and very well crafted. My granddaughter has been carrying her all over and I am happy that I purchaed it for her. I have been looking in regualr stores ie Baby Gap to find a hat or something to fit. I also puchased your 17" doll and ordered clothes. She seems to be alternating between the two.

She is having a great time.

Bebe Cheri arrived today, and we were taken aback when we opened the box. The baby doll's head is HUGE and weirdly bumpy around the rather small eyes. And although some like the "vanilla icing scent" of these dolls, it was overpowering. Needless to say, we are returning her for another Corolle doll. One plus, however, is that she is not made in China.

There's nothing at all wrong with this doll that I can tell, but to be clear, it is -not- made in France. It is made in China; and designed in France.
