Contrary to the review by another, this doll does not really wet. It only "SOUNDS" like it is wetting after she drinks from her pretend bottle. She also cries, laughs, and speaks a number of phrases in four languages based upon what bracelet (or none) that she is wearing. Her voice functions also shut off automatically "night night" when she is left sleeping or un-played with for several minutes, but then picks right back up when she is attended to. Lea is a lovely 17 inch doll with the typical Corolle quality. My daughter is 4 1/2 and just adores her. She "graduated" from the Bebe Do (received at 2 years) and two different Poupettes... You cannot beat the quality or life like qualities of the Corolle dolls

I bought this Doll for my Daughter and she loves her! The doll is cuddly and smells like vanilla, interacts with touch and just alone. A gentle touch of her hand and she speaks and it is just so cute when the doll asks for a kiss and when kissed responds. She also asks to go potty and when placed on potty chair (included) the sounds of the doll peeing take place. This doll does not actually drink fluids and pee, however, she does ask to be fed and will make feeding sounds when the bottle (included) is placed to her lips and also sounds when you feed her using her spoon (included). She burps too and my Daughter thought that was funny as her big brother does that too:) Oh and I don't want to forget that when you tickle her feet she giggles. I would recommend this doll as we have the Baby Annabell doll, but this doll is more interactive for play and with sleepy eyes she goes to sleep with my Daughter...I want to say too that the doll does not have a turn off button, you have to let the doll alone for a few minutes then it goes into sleep(quiet) mode and to wake you must press the pink button on her back, so far she has not woken up while sleeping with my Daughter. She has a soft body and vinyl arms and legs she is not too heavy either...Annabell is alot heavier. Oh not sure if people would want to know, but I have a Baby Born Bike Helmet and it fits this doll so cute so now Baby Lia can go for bike rides too! Hope if you purchase you enjoy as much as we have.

We got baby Lia for our 2 and a half year old daughter, with the occasion of becoming a big sister. I had been looking online for good reviews for baby dolls and I came across Corolle. The amazing part was that we named our new addition Lia, and it was just too perfect that we found a doll for our oldest daughter to have the same name. She got it in the hospital when she met her brand new sister and that made it very special!

I have to say the doll has been played with very much since. My daughter is 4 now and plays with it daily still. It is extremely well made, smell like Vanilla (so sweet) and makes beautiful sounds. It is not the annoying baby talk you find on those motion sensor dolls that always freak me out at the store.

It comes with 3 bracelets that you attach on the wrist to change the language she speaks in. My daughter actually learned the words in Italian, French and Spanish and when we have kids over she just translates what her baby is saying to the other kids...It is impressive!!!

I highly recommend this doll and will be looking at buying one very soon for my real Lia :)

Baby Lia is a beautiful doll and my 2 year old instantly fell in love. Unfortunately, we cannot understand a word that Interactive Lia says. As mentioned in the other review, Lia speaks French as her primary language and requires one of three bracelets to speak English, Spanish, or Italian. Our English bracelet causes Lia to speak Spanish. We cannot separate our daughter from Lia long enough to send her back for a replacement. She would be devastated. C'est la vie!

Lea really does respond by talkinging in 4 languages. It is a great opportunity for a child to become aquainted with other languages. She is so realistic. I gave her to my 3 year old and she loves her.

We opened Lea this morning. Santa had chosen her for my daughter. She was a little apprehensive because Lea does not wet or eat like the doll she got last year. Lea turned out to be great! All the little touches (features) that she has are great fun. This is a great purchase!

I just bought my third Lia doll for my third Granddaughter for Christmas. She has been a big hit with my other two granddaughters. Amazing interactive toy. She says I'm hungry and if you don't put the spoon or bottle to her mouth within a few seconds she cries. Same thing when she says I have to go potty. The spoon bottle and potty all have sensors so once the touch her mouth or bottom she makes sucking sounds for the bottle, smacking sounds for the spoon, and peeing sounds for the potty. Also has sensors in other places so when you kiss her cheek she says I love you Mommy. I think she giggles she you tickle her feet too? So adorable. I am so impressed with this doll! Gave to them for second birthday and they didn't really get into her till they were 2 1/2 or 3. My 3 year old Granddaughter sleeps with hers every night and it's her favorite doll. It is not annoying and shuts off if ignored -- sweet doll. I highly recommend it. Another plus -- speaks French and f you change her bracelet she speaks in another language -- English or Spanish and one other one I believe. Great since they had a Spanish speaking nanny teaching them Spanish too.

I just received this doll today, 9/22/10. This will be a Christmas present for my 3 1/2 year old. I took it out of the box to play with it a little. The doll is very cute and fun with all the different features. The only down side I see is that in order to have the doll speak English, she has to be wearing a braclet. I was hoping that she would speak English without the braclets. I'm not sure if my daughter will keep the braclet on. But if not the baby still cries, and coos, etc. She probably wouldn't notice or care that the doll wasn't speaking English. Can't wait until Christmas to see her reaction.

This doll is worth spending a lot of money for.
This doll is a cool gift and this doll speaks different languages, very informative and educational, as well.
Worth every penny.

My 2.5 year old daughter became obsessed with this doll after seeing a video on the Corolle web site. We got it for her so we could stop playing that video! Lia is now her favorite doll. She makes lots of fun sounds, but the sounds turn off after a reasonable amount of time, so I don't find Lia annoying. She has a good weight and a nice soft body. My only complaint is that the bracelets for choosing the language don't stay on very well. I was afraid we would lose the English one and it would be a tragedy after my daughter was used to her speaking English, so I put it away and now Lia just speaks French.
