The size of this Calin doll is perfect for my 21 month old. The face features are so detailed and lovely! I love this doll as do my daughters who are 21 months and almost 3. I love that the doll is machine washable. I highly recommend any of the dolls made by Corolle they are all high quality dolls. The only warning I have is if you are sensitive to perfumes these doll do have a strong powdery vanilla smell. I set ours by the window overnight which helped them smell less strong. These dolls are phthalate and BPA free which has made me a loyal customer!

I bought this doll for my daughter when she was 13 months old. I wanted something that she could readily identify with, instead of the abundance of Caucasian and asian dolls that were being sold in the stores where we live. My dughter loved this doll that is until someone stole it. I am looking to buy more corolle dolls hopefully they have ones with similar hair texture like my daughters. Eventually I will introduce my daughter to dolls with other nationalities but I am starting with her roots.

My daughter really enjoys this doll. She is 3 years old and it is the perfect size for her to have a baby doll. She loves cuddling it, swaddling it, etc. It also has very beautiful features and the quality is very high.

Bought this for my 18m old daughter for Christmas and she loves it. Great size for her to hold. Smells nice - very subtle. Quality is great.

This is a gorgeous doll. She has such a cute, detailed face. My daughter wanted to carry her babies in a front pack and the Corolle 12" Calin dolls are the perfect size. I wanted my daughter to have exposure to more than just Caucasian dolls. When I started searching for an African American baby doll I found that there are not nearly as many choices as there are for Caucasian dolls. Thank you Corolle for making a gorgeous African American doll at a reasonable price! My daughter loves her brown baby!

It's so hard to find good African American dolls, and this one is perfect! It's very cuddly and sweet, and the plastic is soft and doesn't feel so plasticy. The bean bag body is so cuddly. I also love that there's no hair to worry about either. My daughter has had this doll for 6 months, and it has held up very well. I'm very happy with this purchase.

I purchased this doll for my 2 year old. She adores it. It is an ideal size and soft to cuddle. She smells sweet and is superb quality. Retails for MUCH higher price elsewhere.

I purchased this doll from Amazon because in the picture the doll looks brown.
However, the color of the doll I received has more of a black undertone then brown.
