I got this doll for my 16-month-old daughter who has recently become fascinated with baby dolls and being a little mommy. When I started researching the best doll for this age group I grew frustrated with the selections. I couldn't believe how difficult it was to just find a simple doll that doesn't require batteries, doesn't talk, pee, eat, make weird noises, crawl, or have some sort of blatantly advertised "educational" aspect. I just wanted to find a safe, attractive, simple baby doll for my toddler to love and grow with. I definitely found it in this Calin doll. The second my daughter unwrapped her it was instant love. This doll goes everywhere with her now. My daughter loves to feed her and tuck her into bed for "nigh-nigh."

The doll is just the right size for a toddler. It has enough details to make any small child happy: its head turns, its eyes open and close and have eyelashes, it takes a pacifier, and because its body has some sort of soft bean-bag-like material it can sit up and is somewhat poseable. It has a wonderful smell that other reviewers have compared to vanilla. I like that it doesn't smell like plastic. The clothes are easily removeable and the pacifier is on a short ribbon which is sewn to the doll's shirt. It doesn't come with small parts that are painful when stepped on or easily vacuumed, which is always a plus for me! Because of the doll's size it's also easy to buy accessories of other brands which are less expensive. I haven't washed it yet so I don't know about its durability. I would probably recommend a hand washing in the sink or in a thick lingerie bag in the washing machine because the plastic has a nice soft feel and I imagine it would scratch up in the wash.

This is a wonderful first doll for any child, I believe. It's simple, it's pretty, it's attractive enough that it will remain a favorite for years, and it doesn't make any annoying sounds or have any overt educational agenda. I don't have anything negative to say about this product at all!

I was looking for a simple baby doll for my 18 month niece, because the children in my toddler class love to play with babies! I didn't want anything flashy, with buttons to push for sounds or liquids to make it soil its diaper. I just wanted a simple, small, durable baby for my little niece to carry and love.

This is the doll! It's small size makes it easy for little hands to carry with them. It is simply dressed and smells sweet. My niece preferred this doll to the Bitty Baby she received (although I do like the Bitty Baby line of products). For your money it is a great buy and can teach little ones how to use their hands to be gentle and nurturing and its simple style allows them to be creative and imaginative.

My daughter loves this little baby doll. She smells wonderful (vanilla) and is soft to hold. She is small so she makes the perfect portable doll to take anywhere. She does not do anything but be a sweet baby doll and my daughter can have fun taking care of her.

We bought this baby after much looking and reading many reviews. She opened it for her first birthday and absolutely loves it. It's the perfect size, very soft yet durable, her eyes open and close, has her own pacifier, and she even smells good. My daughter wants to take her every where and just can't hug her enough. The Corolle Calin doll was a great choice!

This is a beautiful doll, well made, smells great and is machine washable. Can't wait to buy my daughter the bigger one.

It's so difficult to say how excited my 18 month old granddaughter has been with this first Baby Doll. I had done research for a baby doll with a pacifier and this fit the bill. Because her mommy is expecting any day and they live 6 hours from here, we had Christmas exchange with her Thanksgiving week-end. Through online connection I've had a month to watch her as she has played with "Baby Doll."

From the moment she opened her package she has been awed with Baby. Her parents gave her a stroller and so if she's not cuddling, feeding, or singing her baby she is pushing her around the house in the stroller. This doll looks like she can take all the rough "care" that an 18 month old can dish out. I did remove her outfit and attached the pacifier to Baby's bassinet since my granddaughter is only allowed her pacifier while in her crib. The new nightie and cloth diaper I made for her are easily removed so her little fingers can dress and undress Baby. I plan to make Baby more clothes for other gift giving opportunities but she does fit in some hand-me-down clothes that were passed down from older grandkids. I would highly recommend this doll though I only gave it a 4 star rating. Time will tell how durable she is but compared to other baby dolls I saw in retail stores, she looks better than those.

For my daughter's 3rd birthday, I had decided to get her a special doll. I researched all the dolls out there and was trying to decide between a Madam Alexander Doll, the American Girls Baby, and this Corolle doll. My sister had given my daughter her First Corolle Doll, which she still plays with. I just thought she might enjoy the next step up, which is a little more realistic for her.

The doll is really adorable. The face is really cute, much cuter than what I've seen in stores. I also like the weight of it. It actually feels like a real baby. My daughter loves it and it's just the right size for her to tuck under her arm. The outfit it comes in is very cute and soft. I also purchased one of the dresses and was very happy with the quality of the fabric. The vanilla scent is an added bonus. Now, the doll has not replaced "Harriet the hippo" that goes EVERYWHERE with my daughter. But it's definitely a close second.

I recommend this doll to any Mom looking for a cute, simple little doll for their toddler. It's very durable and well made.

This is a cute doll! It's the perfect size for a little girl. Some dolls can be really big & heavy. I like how the eyes open & close. And it smells good too!

I did some research before I purchased a doll for my now 3 yr. old. I based my decision on other people's comments, and they were right! It does help to see other's reviews, so if you have the time, help other Moms out by giving your opinion on a purchase, whether it's good or bad.

I was looking for a special play doll for my 18-month old granddaughter and wanted one that was small, well-made and appealing. I am a doll maker, and knew that Corolle makes beautiful, high-quality vinyl dolls. I wanted a doll with the qualities that little girls love: sleep-eyes (toddlers love it when eyes open and close), no hair (which can be scary and always gets messy) and a cuddly (soft, stuffed fabric) body. My granddaughter loves her "baby"! It's small and very light weight so she has no trouble carrying it. It even smells wonderful, like baby powder. I would HIGHLY recommend this doll to anyone who wants a quality loveable doll for a toddler.
