5.0 out of 5 stars A great way for whole family to get Omega 3s!
I can't say enough good about the Coromega supplements! They taste great, leave no fishy aftertaste or burps, are packable and are even desireable to my toddler! WOW. Our family prefers the original orange (which has a cremsicle taste) -- but I also like the lemon-lime flavor for a change. The lemon-lime is a little tart but I like that. 1.0 out of 5 stars Yuck!
Let me be a little more direct than the other reviewers. The orange flavor Coromega is the best thing to come along since God invented fish. If there were 6 stars, I'd award it all six.

But I have no idea where the Coromega folks were coming from when they released the lemon/lime flavor. I think I'd rather eat raw fish like Gollum to get my Omega-3...

5.0 out of 5 stars Omega-3 without the fish oil burps!, July 31, 2008
This review is from: Coromega Omega-3 Fish Oil, Lemon Lime, 90 ct (Health and Beauty)
A couple of years ago my optometrist advised that I take fish oil capsules on a daily basis to help ward off macular degeneration. For those who don't know, this is a condition that occurs when the macula (the area at the back of the retina that produces the sharpest vision) weakens over time.

There are many other benefits to fish oil, including being useful in the treatment of a number of forms of depression, and many physicians recommend it for the treatment of Alzheimer's disease. But the problem for many is that they find the capsules to be intolerable for one reason: fish oil burps.

The Coromega Omega-3 Fish Oil, Lemon Lime seems to eliminate that problem for most. It's packaged in convenient daily dose pudding-like squeeze packets. I personally like the taste, but if one doesn't, they can easily be mixed with blended drinks or added to yogurt. These Coromega products contain top quality fish oil from deep, cold-water fish, which is said to be the best kind.

It should also be noted that low levels of DHA (docosahexaenoic acid) have been connected to various forms of depression, ADD (attention deficit disorder) and Alzheimer's disease. Various studies have revealed that brains of Alzheimer's patients have 30 percent less DHA than brains of comparably aged people who do not have the disease.

Age-related macular degeneration (AMD) is the most common cause of blindness among older adults in the US, and is said to affect over 7 million individuals older than 40 years. The frequency of AMD is likely to increase as the population ages. There is currently no known way to prevent the condition, but research has begun to identify potentially modifiable risk factors and nutrient-based treatments. More info on this can be found here:

In any case, if your health care practitioner has suggested fish oil as a treatment, this product is a tasty alternative to the capsules. It can also be found in other flavors, such as Coromega Omega-3 Supplement, Orange Flavor, Squeeze Packets, 90-Count Box and Coromega Omega-3 Supplement, Orange Flavor with a Hint of Chocolate, 90 packets.

If you wish to read up a bit on the benefits of the fish oil supplements, you can try DHA: The Essential Omega-3 Fatty Acid by Remi Cooper, who explains it clearly in a 32-page booklet.

There are "good" and "bad" fats, and Omega-3 fatty acids are considered one of the "good" fats important for cellular, heart and metabolic health, along with being good for the eyes. DHA is one of those fatty acids that help maintain a healthy heart and circulatory system, along with maintaining triglyceride levels already within a normal range.

So yes, for many of us there are healthy and tasty alternatives to the fish oil capsules... without the fish oil burps.

Thank goodness I bought only a very small quantity of the lemon/lime just to try it out. My wife refused to take any after trying one and, not wanting to throw money away, I was stuck with the rest of them. There are about three left as of this writing, and they're headed straight for the trash can.

4.0 out of 5 stars My favorite Coromega product, March 3, 2008
This review is from: Coromega Omega-3 Fish Oil, Lemon Lime, 90 ct (Health and Beauty)
I've tried all 3 flavors of Coromega and this is my favorite. I don't experience any burps with any of the products although my great nephew does so who knows what's behind that.
As with all Omega 3 products, the anti-inflamation benefits of Coromega build up in the system. My arthritis and angina have both been positively affected by Omega 3 fatty acids. This is just the most convenient way for me to get my daily dose.

An excellent price for an Omega 3 supplement. I personally prefer the taste of the orange supplement but price-wise it's hard to argue.

5.0 out of 5 stars Lemon Lime Omega 3, January 14, 2012

This is an excellent product. My husband and I both take it. I started using it because of absorption issues following bariatric surgery. As we both need to supplement with Omega 3, he takes it as well. We both like the lemon lime flavor. The body absorbs it well. The statistics are documented as to the benefits of Omega 3 supplement in heart function.

4.0 out of 5 stars Good product, December 1, 2011

This review is from: Coromega Omega-3 Fish Oil, Lemon Lime, 90 ct (Health and Beauty)
I give this only four stars because I am trying to find an omega-3 supplement that all my kids will take and only one of them will take this. The once a day pouch is nice and the ratio of DHA and EPA were what I was looking for too. My husband and I don't mind the taste. My four year old who will take it has gotten it on his clothes and they smell like fish after washing. The perforations on the packages in this box were defective and won't tear all the way across so we have to cut it but that's not a huge deal. If you or your kids think the tart lime flavor is okay it's overall a great product.

5.0 out of 5 stars Good Stuff, November 30, 2011

This stuff tastes good and is not costly. If your Dr. has you on the prescription omega III, use this instead (run it by the Dr. first).

4.0 out of 5 stars Toddler loves this, November 18, 2011

This review is from: Coromega Omega-3 Fish Oil, Lemon Lime, 90 ct (Health and Beauty)
Several years ago it was recommended to me that we give my son with ADD additional Omega 3 fish oil. We did that and it did seem to help him focus. We are now giving it to our grandson. The difference in his behavior is amazing--he went from a little roving tornado to a child who, while still active, can sit for a story or sit and play with blocks. He really likes the lemon-lime coromega. I put it on a spoon for him and he takes it, and then grabs the spoon to lick off every last drop. I personally don't care for the taste, but our toddler grandson does.

5.0 out of 5 stars On my 3rd box!, November 11, 2011
Amazon Verified Purchase(What's this?)
This review is from: Coromega Omega-3 Fish Oil, Lemon Lime, 90 ct (Health and Beauty)
This is the most convenient way to get 2,000mg of fish oil on the market all in one dose. One, somewhat tasty Lemon Lime squeeze tube a day is like taking 2 to 4 horse sized capsules. It has EPA, DHA, and Long chain Omega 3 fatty acids. Give it a try, you may like the taste. I believe it is available in a smaller or taster size with chocolate, orange and lemon lime. Btw, my husband wasn't crazy for the taste, but what does he know!
