Now You Too Can Take Fish Oil!,
Amazon Verified Purchase(What's this?)
This review is from: Coromega Omega-3 Supplement, Orange Flavor, Squeeze Packets, 90-Count Box (Health and Beauty)
***** Coromega is a unique form of fish oil. It delivers the Omega-3 fatty acids present in fish oil in a particularly efficient way, making it the most bioavailable form of fish oil I've ever heard of. It is tested to ensure that it is pure and not contaminated by mercury, or other contaminants or heavy metals. Only quality ingredient are used in its manufacture; it sweetened with stevia, probably the best natural sweetener of all. Coromega comes in little daily dose squeeze packets that are convenient for travel and that keep it fresh for a long time (unlike some brands that go rancid easily). I carry some in my purse and sometimes take them before a meal out when I'm hungry but have to wait to eat, since they contain 20 calories. Even on an empty stomach, they cause me no digestive upset at all and I love the flavor. The orange is my favorite and doesn't taste at all like fish, but has an orange-y creamsicle flavor. Even children will love this! In this video, I show how to take the Coromega straight from the package. Coromega does contain eggs, so if you're allergic, you should look for other sources of fish oil. Amazon's price is fantastic, especially with the Subscribe and Save option, which I am on for this product. [...]. Highly recommended. *****

I've been taking Omega 3 Fish oil for several years for angina and arthritis. I have done a lot of research (read Dr. Barry Sears, Dr. Andrew Stoll) about various products and have bought very expensive products in the past.
I have greatly benefited from the EPA. I don't have hip pain when I sleep, although I still have pain when I walk (because I don't take enough fish oil) and I no longer have angina pain. My nephew who is hyperactive has also taken fish oil (omegabrite) and is not on Ritalin any longer. He and I are both walking miracles. If you go to the Coromega site, they will send you a free sample of this product. I got it in the mail about 5 days ago and took it today for the first time. It is the best tasting fish oil I've ever had and I'm ordering more today. It doesn't have the percentage of EPA to DHA I prefer but, and this is important, I won't dread taking it, I can carry it in my purse so that I don't forget to take it and it is't messy. If you have an egg allergy don't buy this. Go to the coromega site and research this first, but the price on Amazon is very good especially as I buy more then $25.00 and get free scipping.

I love the taste of this and have been taking this for a few months now. Doctor recommended that I add Omega-3 to my daily vitamin intake and I chose to try this and love it. Doesn't taste like fish at all. I chill it in fridge and it has a great orange flavor. Easy to take and no mess. Will continue to purchase this product.

Omega-3 and DHA without the fish oil burps!,

There are many other benefits to fish oil, including being useful in the treatment of a number of forms of depression, and many physicians recommend it for the treatment of Alzheimer's disease. But the problem for many is that they find the capsules to be intolerable for one reason: fish oil burps.
The Coromega Omega-3 Supplement, Orange Flavor, Squeeze Packets seem to eliminate that problem for most. It's packaged in convenient daily dose pudding-like squeeze packets. I personally like the taste of this and the lemon-lime variety (see below), but if one doesn't, they can easily be mixed with blended drinks or added to yogurt. These Coromega products contain top quality fish oil from deep, cold-water fish, which is said to be the best kind. It should also be noted that low levels of DHA (docosahexaenoic acid) have been connected to various forms of depression, ADD (attention deficit disorder) and Alzheimer's disease. Various studies have revealed that brains of Alzheimer's patients have 30 percent less DHA than brains of comparably aged people who do not have the disease. A couple of years ago my optometrist advised that I take fish oil capsules on a daily basis to help ward off macular degeneration. For those who don't know, this is a condition that occurs when the macula (the area at the back of the retina that produces the sharpest vision) weakens over time. Age-related macular degeneration (AMD) is the most common cause of blindness among older adults in the US, and is said to affect over 7 million individuals older than 40 years. The frequency of AMD is likely to increase as the population ages. There is currently no known way to prevent the condition, but research has begun to identify potentially modifiable risk factors and nutrient-based treatments. More info on this can be found here: Archives of Ophthalmology, Vol. 124 No. 7, July 2006 http://archopht.ama-assn.org/cgi/content/abstract/124/7/995 In any case, if your health care practitioner has suggested fish oil as a treatment, this product is a tasty alternative to the capsules. It can also be found in other flavors, such as Coromega Omega-3 Fish Oil, Lemon Lime, 90 ct and Coromega Omega-3 Supplement, Orange Flavor with a Hint of Chocolate, 90 packets. There are "good" and "bad" fats, and Omega-3 fatty acids are considered one of the "good" fats important for cellular, heart and metabolic health, along with being good for the eyes. DHA is one of those fatty acids that help maintain a healthy heart and circulatory system, along with maintaining triglyceride levels already within a normal range. There are healthy and tasty alternatives to the fish oil capsules for many of us... and without the fish oil burps.

Works for my autistic son!,

I'm not going to go on and on about this product - except to say - this stuff really works. My youngest son is autistic along with being pretty hyper. He couldn't stay focused on anything for more than 5-10 minutes. Shopping for an omega type product, I happened to stumble on Coromega. I read the reviews, read the history of the product, dived in and ordered it.
OK, I'm not one to spew much, but LORD this product works! In about two weeks, my boy has gone from being able to focus for only 5-10 minutes to 30 minutes! Can you believe that?? My husband and I are stoked. Again, (sorry if I'm beating a dead duck) we couldn't get our boy to focus on anything; now this product has really changed most of that. Of course there are still challenges, but Coromega has made it so much easier to face those challenges. I will never be without this product again - ever! By the way, we're all taking it now and it has even helped my 15 year old focus better on his home work. Purchase this product, you won't be sorry:0)

Best omega-3 supplement, hands down!,
By M. Hines (Atlanta, GA) - See all my reviews
This review is from: Coromega Omega-3 Supplement, Orange Flavor, Squeeze Packets, 90-Count Box (Health and Beauty)
I've tried lots of omega-3 supplements -- fish oil capsules, flax seeds, etc. -- but this is the only one where I've actually FELT the results. I began taking the supplement for nerve support, and within a few days I felt less tense, had fewer anxieties, and slept much more soundly. Also, I was one of those non-smokers who'd bum a cigarette when I felt tense, but I haven't had that craving since starting coromega -- six months ago! To me, that's miraculous. It does taste great, and there's no fishy after taste or burp, yecch. The packets are very convenient, and the oil doesn't go rancid. Amazon's prices are hard to beat, and if you put this on autoship, you'll always have a supply handy.

Great taste, but not enough DHA for me,

I bought the 90-pack orange flavor last week and started taking them immediately (gotta love Amazon Prime 2-day shipping!) This supplement tastes GREAT and not fishy at all! It does have a very slight aftertaste (I usually chase it with a beverage anyway.)
Well, today (March 11, 2011) I ran across something Dr. Oz published about Omega 3 fatty acids. He says you should aim for 600 mg of DHA daily. This supplement only has 230 mg of DHA and 350 of EPA. Now, depending on your needs, that may be enough of both fatty acids. But, considering I rarely eat fish of any kind (I also have a Lap Band, so I can only do liquid supplements), I need a supplement with as close to 600 mg as possible per serving. So, after hours of research, today I bought Barlean's Fresh Catch Fish Oil. It has 550 mg of DHA and 850 mg of EPA. I'll get it Tuesday, so I'll be writing a review for that later on...LOL. Meanwhile, I'll finish this box, but I'll have to take 3 packets a day to get to 600 mg. Thank goodness they taste good...LOLOLOL Link to Barlean's Fish Oil: http://www.amazon.com/Barleans-Organic-Oils-8-Ounce-Bottle/dp/B002VLZ89Y/ref=sr_1_2?ie=UTF8&s=hpc&qid=1299868946&sr=1-2) Link to Dr. Oz article about Omega 3 doses: [...]

Miracle in a packet,

This supplement is nothing short of a miracle for my 4-yr old son. He has chronic constipation and has been on prescription Miralax, daily Benefiber tablets and Papaya enzyme for the last 2 1/2 years (and needed suppositories monthly). Since he began taking the supplement over a week ago, he has been "regular" everyday with normal BMs and has had a huge appetite as a result! (He's very small for his age and it is normally a battle to get him to eat) Better yet, he has not needed any of the other things besides his daily vitamins. He takes the Omega-3 no problem, the same way he would squeeze yogurt.
This may seem like TMI but other Moms will understand...I am truly thrilled!

Absolutely Amazing,

I am a medical student and recently have been having a hard time retaining long-term information and staying focused for extended periods of time. I pretty much study every waking hour of my life, taking breaks to eat, sleep, and exercise. Having learned that omega-3 can help support long-term memory, I decided to give it a shot. After shopping around on this site, I came across this product and thought to myself hmm.. 3x better bioavailability? Hmm, worth a shot. I fully expected the benefits to take about a month to kick in. After taking 3 packets a day, I felt the benefits on the SECOND day of taking it. Now, I don't expect it to work that quickly for everyone, but it did for me. For me, the biggest thing I notice is that it seems to have an anti-depressant effect and I have noticed a considerable boost in memory retention, and a slight boost to attention span (lol). There was a period in my life where I was on anti-depressants for about 2 months and I get a very similar sensation after taking this product... it almost feels like a pharmaceutical medication, not a nutritional supplement. Of course, this is just my experience and so I would take this with a grain of salt and don't get your hopes up, but it worked for me and it is definitely worth a shot.
Also, it tastes so good! When I first tried it I wanted to eat the whole box.
