Customer Reviews

This is a very sharp blade for cutting.

Because of the supreme control, small size, quiet operation, I like using this more than my gas powered pole pruner!

You pay twice as much for these blades but they are worth it.

...and then read this one. If you have ever used a cheap pruning saw, you will be shocked at how fast and easy this Corona blade works. With the first stroke you'll be covered in saw dust. You may even be finished with your cut after one stroke!

We have 10 trees on the lot and need to have them thinned out every few years. This last time I watched them do it. First of all I was surprised to see them without a chain saw. All they had was Corona pole saws. As I watched I realized they were cutting through limbs as big as 8 inches in diameter as easily as a 1 inch limb. A 1-inch limb went in one stroke of the Corona. They let me try it and sure enough, it is just that sharp. I immediately went out and bought a Corona hand saw and a pole saw. My wife noticed how much fun I was having with my new saw and wanted to try it. She kept the hand saw the rest of the afternoon! I wish I had Corona saws when I was a kid trimming trees for my mom. You pay twice as much for these blades but they are worth it.

Unfortunately I let my Coronas get rusty. They don't work nearly as well and I need to replace them. One secret to keeping these blades nice is to keep them oiled as you work. Oil keeps the pitch from the tree from sticking to the blade and jamming it up. WD-40 or even kerosene is fine for this. Then when you are finished, oil it again with real lubricant, not WD-40. I use a spray-on garage door lube. Be sure the cutting edges get the oil.

I recently bought this blade as a replacement for my Corona pole pruner.

This blade was an upgrade to the original. I would say the claim that "cuts twice as fast" is definitely accurate. I wish I had bought sooner.

Arrived in a few days and was easily installed.

This item is designed to be a universal replacement blade for several different manufacturer's pruners. So the only disadvantage is on my pole pruner, the base of the blade overlaps the space for the guillotine pruner. Probably only about 1/4" though. Not the end of the world, but would be nicer if this was not the case.

This is a very sharp blade for cutting.
I had one very high large limb to remove. I was able to cut this down with little effort, because of the blade.
Thanks

Exact replacement for my Corona pruner, easy to install, and sharp enough to cut dead or green wood. Big box home improvement stores carry the original pruner, but say they no longer bother to carry the replacement parts. The sales girl even showed me where the blades USED to hang. I was told to go home, order it on line, and have it shipped free to the store where I could return to pick it up. A perfect reason to purchase through Amazon and have it shipped to my home.

This has a great kerf (spread of the teeth) and sharp teeth. Much better than the Fiskars or other makes you would find at H*m* D**ot.

Used this blade to cut branches of Mexican Fan Palm that were getting kinda close
to the power lines. The branches were about 1-2 inches thick and 4-5 inches wide
where I cut them, but these were NOT the dry ones which are much harder to cut.
It's very sharp and it went through about 20 branches very easily.

This is a wicked sharp saw! I cut a large branch overhead, which pinched the original blade and bent it. I kept the original blade because it was otherwise still so sharp I didn't want to just throw it out.

My only complaint about it is that I'd like to see how it would work with less curve to it. I'm not sure why it's curved so much.

It was advertised as a saw blade that works on a push & pull stroke, but when it arrived it clearly stated on the blade it was a pull stroke blade. Just tried it to see if it would work push/pull, and it doesn't do it. The only reason I'm keeping it is that I need a blade to saw something. Unfortunately it's going to take a while longer & more effort to saw.
