I'm really happy that I chose this tool, and expect it will serve me well.

The overall length as advertised is very misleading, however, since the working length is only from the sliding grip to the cutter head.

I don't know who is responsible for the error in the ad- I just know it isn't me!

I bought a Fiskars 6' pruning stick had had terrible time with it and bought another one and it went back also. I then bought the Corona 6' Power Glide stick Pruner and I must say it is the best of the 2 by far. Corona pruners and trimmers have been the best graded garden tools for a long long time. I never should have doubted there reputation and instead of buying a sleek and cool looking fiskars pruning stick I should have just bought the one brand that makes the best tools. I have about three (3) pairs of Corona trimmers in my shed and I have one of my grandfathers Corona trimmers as well. Do yourself a big favor and bypass the sleek looks of the Fiskars pruners and buy the best and stick with a company that has been the staple brand for landscapers, yard men, Nurserymen, and horticulturist for decades. I am a professional Sharpener and I mostly sharpen Knives and Scissors but in the spring I sharpen pruners and lopers for a lot of professional nurserymen as well a regular homeowners. I also sell knives and scissors and I have to tell you that after Fiskars bought the Gerber Knife and tool company the quality took a nose dive and now I refuse to sharpen any Fiskars or Gerber product.

I've used the traditional rope pruners and have always hated them: pulling at the rope is difficult for thicker branches and invariably leads to rope burns on my palms. So I thought this would be a great alternative. It does work well when you use the grip located midway through the pole, as I am able to get a lot of leverage/torque from that position. Unfortunately cutting this way drastically limits its reach. So when cutting higher branches I have to use the pull ring at the bottom of the pole, which pretty much has the same limitations as the old rope pruners: no leverage/torque and awkward cutting (at least no rope burns). And forget about using this for trees taller than 10 feet without a ladder. Still, overall it's a decent product and an improvement over the old pruner design.

I have more than 30 fruit trees on my property, and was looking for something that would make seasonal pruning a little easier. I have to say - I am really happy I chose this tool. It is easy to use, and seems like it will last. I really liked the ball-fitting for the head - it seemed like it would allow precise cutting angles, and it does - without compromising the cutting head performance. The internal routed cables/ropes makes it easy to use. No tangled ropes, and no risk of fraying. It easily transitions from a close, to a long-range tool, and it is pretty easy to cut branches up to 1". I'm really happy that I chose this tool, and expect it will serve me well. After 3 days of use, it seems to function as new, so I expect it will hold up pretty well. No complaints here.

This product is a big disappointment. It does not have the strength to cut through the bush/tree limbs (small, often green.)
The rope device requires the operator to have Herculean strength.

The item arrived shipped in a haphazard wrapping. Bubble wrapped and then overwrapped with a thin outer paper/plastic covering; the package arrived torn in two places. The item itself was not obviously damaged although there were scratches on the pole and the item decal.

I returned the item, with wrapping, the cost was $22 for the Amazon return charge and the UPS wrapping charge. . Clearly a mistake on my part. I hesitated when I read the advetisement. Too good to be true. Too good.

I would not recommend this item to anyone.

Unfortuntely Amazon does not provide for a no stars rating.

Works great, light weight and cuts through with ease. Just what I needed for those branches beyond the reach of my lopper.

A few years back I purchased a Fiskars pruning Stick. First few uses it was great.... then the chain master links started popping off. Of course when they pop off cutting limbs, you aren't going to find the parts. No biggy, found a local supply at hardware store.Keep spares with me when using./:-( Then the return spring popped off..... lost it too. Fiskars sent new parts, for some reason they didn't send keeper for master link, just the link /:-( Then, after admittedly much personal use, the head starts to slip on tough cuts. You get it in position, pull the handle to cut.... the head sounds like a gear stripping as it rotates to near 90° from straight. After trying to epoxy the head in thestraight position to avoid constantly readjusting the floppy head, I started looking for a better designed pruner.
I saw the Corona 3206 long reach pruner and despite not being able to find one clear close up picture of the cutting head, rolled the dice. I just received it and tried it out immediately. From the get go, this unit appears better designed and more durably built than the Fiskars I had. Time will tell the whole story, but I would buy another Corona if it ever needs replaced.

The pruner was used and performed as advertised. I would recommend this tool for anyone needing a well build pruner.
