A few years back I bought a saw I really liked on Amazon. There was a lot of work to do on our overgrown acre, and I came back to order another (for my husband) only to find that Amazon was no longer carrying them. I ordered another folding saw from a company I had gotten a nice pruner from and the thing fell apart the first time I used it!. Since then I have purchased a variety of weeders, and having been impressed with the build quality of the Corona clipper tool, I purchased one of these saws.
I spent 9 hours working with it yesterday, taking out both green and dried, hard & soft wood. It worked well, felt solid and substantial, taking out stumps of dried hardwood up to 9 inches in diameter (that is as big a I tried it with,or needed to).
The closing mechanism is a small push button and was easier to use than the other folding saws I have had. So far this brand is 2 for 2, and when I need another garden tool I will look to them again as the quality and utility of the products I have purchased of theirs has been uniformly good.

The blade cuts really well. It appears to be quite durable and I feel the open/close push button lock will last much longer than the other mechanisms I have used. With the blade cutting on the pull stroke, it takes some getting used to. The blade at times seems to be too aggressive, biting off more than it can chew and making it hard to pull toward you. When this happens, simply lighten up on the down pressure. The handle is really comfortable.

Just received this and used it a bit on some smaller branches ...I'm not sure if there's supposed to be so much up and down blade play --- but there is on the one i got. The lockup is good and the blade stays locked down when the saw is folded...the button lock system is effective and the teeth get some serious bite. Too much blade play for me though --- makes it feel less than solid/dependable. I tightened the side screw to reduce the movement but it did nothing to mitigate the problem -- it only ended up locking the blade from being closed - or opened. The grip is good and ergonomics are good. Folded up it stores easily in a backpack or tool drawer/tool box so its convenient and portable..Without the significant blade play it would easily be five stars -- but with it, it's just ok.

Just the right size for the small jobs. Used for removing small trees and pruning shrubs around the house. Teeth come very sharp and have excellent cutting action, removing a significant amount of material per swipe. The blade locks solidly into place both closed and open reducing risk of injury.

I have gone through several of these, clearing brush in wilderness. They are compact, lightweight, and safe to carry. The bolt tends to unscrew after awhile and parts are easily lost. Standard hardware, but it's a good idea to glue the nut to the bolt to avoid the problem.

item arrived on time as usual and is very comfortable to hold, the safe lock pin is useful and easy to use. However, this saw require harder force to push and pull compared to my last saw. I don't know why....maybe its teeth are a little bit too big.

This is IDEAL for metal detecting, I'm from Manassas, Virginia where there are tons of areas to do this hobby. and I always run into roots. BIG ones too, the bigger they are it seems the older the relics are under it. So i looked at a couple of "portable" saws preferably that will fit in your pocket. and for your money. this is the best deal you can get! its a little big unless you have big pockets but cargo pants they fit in great. you can fold it up and go on your way. The day it came in it instantly came in handy and have found numerous civil war relics, but not without this tool to help me get down in the hole with those annoying roots! This is a must have for Anything! really. But i HIGHLY recommend it for Metal Detecting!! Buy this one!

Thanks!
Justin

Currently under review like its compactness and being able to carry it in a coat pocket up into a tree. Always used a fixed blade saw before but so far so good.
