Disappointing book, July 10, 2001
By A Customer
This review is from: Corporal Punishment Handbook (Paperback)
I was very disappointed in this book. Do yourself a favor and don't purchase it. If you follow the advice you will have an extremely spoiled child that thrives on manipulation. When older, the child will be uncontrollable since the child learned not to never fear consquences. This is a major problem today - kids have no regard or respect for authority. How can they when there is no reason to do so? It's no wonder parental abuse by children is on the rise and it is no coinsidence that those abusing their childish parents were never spanked! In fact onjective surveys and studies prove that spanking is good as long as it is not abuse. There is a world of difference bewteen abuse and correction however this author can't seem to comprehend that and relies on extremes to con you into believing otherwise. Ah, don't mind me ... just keep watching the headlines concerning what children do to parents (stabbing, shootings) and others ... In short they are undisciplined and authors like this contribute to this problem.
