Corporate Finance was a snooze to read. The format from text to mathematical theory to example could have been blocked better for easier reading. The problems were helpful and illustrated the math needed. Some of the "excel" problems were using excel for a big calculator, but others were rather tricky and labor intensive. The summaries at the end of each chapter were pretty thorough. There were a lot of "current" information articles from "people in the industry", which of course are already out of date. The book could have saved the trees on that and just provided the "classic" information. Too bad it doesn't come in Kindle format.

I ordered this book for an MBA course. The material is presented in a straight-forward manner and the chapters are explained enough, however I don't know if I would recommend this book to anyone looking to teach themselves this subject, as there are surely other textbooks out there that are more dynamic for self-starters. Having a professor teaching in conjunction with this material is a must in my opinion.

If buying for class, make sure to check what chapters are covered in your course; if this text meets your needs, it is a great way to save some money as opposed to buying the full edition.

Covers all you need to know with plenty of examples - not a huge fan of the actual writing and explaining of the material though

the book is pretty good. clear and simple explanations and easy to follow examples.

Reasonably priced, but inadequate to understand the material. I would have bought the textbook in retrospect. Good initiative. Bad judgement

This book is good for those who are new/beginners to Finance. I use this book as an introduction to Finance and am still using it in school. It's definitely helpful especially if you have a professor who's familiar with the authors. Also, it's an advantage to get the answer key to the practice questions (which my school prof has provided us)

The link that allows you to 'take a look inside' is misleading. You are looking inside of the real "Corporate Finance" book, and not the study guide that they will send you. The study guide has no material that the book has. This may be a good purchase for some one wanting to brush up on finance, but if you are taking a college level course, pass on it. I'm returning it.

I purchased this book from Amazon so that I could ensure that the book was new and got to me on time. I am an MBA student and needed this book and the CD-ROM that it is supposed to come with. When I received this book, it was not shrink wrapped and it did not contain the CD-ROM. For these reasons I know that this book was not new and that it has been tampered with. It appears that Amazon has misrepresented that sale of a new book. I would appreciate it if Amazon would right the situation by sending me the correct CD-ROM that is supposed to be included with the book. Thank you.

No shrinkwrap, therefore No CD, therefore no access to "My Finance Lab." Now I have to spend another $50 to get access.

This study guide is marginally useful, at best. It really has not helped me that much which is a huge disappointment, considering the cost. Save your money and hire a tutor instead...
