The Corpse Bride 12" Fashion Doll

I am a HUGE Corpse Bride fan, and this doll did not disappoint me one bit! She looks exactly as Emily should look in doll form, which is no easy task since her movie "doll" was extremely detailed. The fashion doll has "real" hair, and it's stringy like her character's hair, but it's also very soft. Her face is exquisitely detailed, and she has the most beautiful expression that simply must be seen to be believed.

Her veil is made of the same slightly transparent, frayed fabric as her skirt and has a swirling gray pattern printed on it. Her bodice is made of a more detailed fabric with a brocaded texture, just as it was in the movie, and also has very narrow shimmering strings woven into it. It also has tiny beads at the top and bottom of the bodice, and the four bones of her rib cage are sculpted to create a 3D effect.

Just like in the movie, she has one skeleton arm and leg and one skin arm and leg. Her skeleton joints are far more flexible than her skin ones and can move in almost any direction, while her skin arm only moves up and down and her skin leg doesn't move at all.

She has torn pieces of fabric on her arms just like in the movie, but the shape of the two pieces of fabric are also sculpted onto her arm underneath them, I guess to hold them in place since they don't have much glue keeping them there.

She comes with a stand, but not a very good one. It's the kind with two tiny pegs in it that you have to insert into two tiny holes in her feet. After I used the stand a lot, one of the pegs broke off and it stopped working. I'd recommend getting a wire doll stand instead because the one she comes with doesn't work very well.

Overall, this is one of the most beautiful dolls I have ever seen, and her only flaw is that her skin leg does not move at all. If you are a collector or a fan of the movie, it is very much worth your money and Amazon's default picture does not do it justice.

This doll is sooo pretty and she looks just like Emily in the movie and that is rare to find a doll that looks just like the character it's portraying. I think that any kid would love this doll if they loved the movie.

I purchased the Corpse Bride 12" doll and the Victor 12" doll for my daughter who is five and loves the movie. She went crazy for the dolls when she got them. I have to say they are well done in the way they replicated the characters in the movie. However, they are very delicate and really cannot withstand child play. These dolls are for looks only. Within a week of purchase my daughter, who has never broken a toy broke the head off the bride and a hand off Victor in the same day. Repairs with superglue and a glue gun could not repair it. She was heart broken.

I'm a budding doll collector, and this is the first doll that I've been really disappointed in. First, she arrived to my house headless. Never a good sign. Her hollow body just can't support her heavy plastic head.

Second, the quality of the rest of her body leaves a lot to be desired. She feels quite light and cheap, like if I pressed hard enough on her skin leg, I'd go through the plastic. Also, mine has dried hot glue, used to attach the hair, on her face that I can't remove, because it was painted along with her head. It looks like she has a very prominent vein in the side of her face and just looks ugly.

The one good thing about this doll is her dress. It's lovely, pity it's not on a better doll.

Overall, I'm unhappy. She is NOT an inexpensive doll, and the fact that she's put together so shoddily is disappointing. She looks nice, but it's only once you get her out of the box do you see how cheaply she was put together. Be warned that if you take her out, it'll only be a matter of time before something on her breaks.

This was one of my best purchases on Amazon, and there have been alot. This doll is so detailed it looks like she walked off of the movie screen. I have her displayed and plan on never taking her out of her box. I can't say that she is beautiful, but than again she is a corpse.

This item is enjoyed by those who see it and realize how much the doll, or movable figurine looks like the actual character in the movie. The price is really reasonable too....

I bought this doll for both my daughters who are HUGE fans of both Burton movies. It broke within hours. Both heads snapped off at the middle of the neck. I had to give one of the Brides hip surgery as the pin in the top of her leg fell out. After rigging that together, the head snapped off. We had similar problems with Victor, his legs snapp off at the knees. If you just want to look at the doll this would be great as she is beautifully detailed and very COOL. However, shes just not very sturdy.

This figurine is good quality. My 6 year old daughter loves it. She loved the movie and wanted the figurines for her birthday.

This doll is very beautiful , but does need a regular doll stand to stay on the shelf safely. I cannot imagine letting a child play with this , it is fragile. Very nicely done,really an amazing work for the price, but not for children.

The doll is more of a collector's item. If it's for a child, like mine was, just explain how fragil the item is and to be very carefull with it.
