Lots of krautrock fans were dismayed or angry when their heroes started to reflect disco's influence, but the progression makes perfect sense. This is beautiful music with great depth beneath the shimmer at the surface. It still manages to sound distinctly Germanic; you can hear echoes of space rock as it moves toward the kind of synth pop later identified with Ultravox ("Vienna") and others.

This is a very mature album for M Gottsching. You see his growth from the early ashra years, w the first album, then others like join inn, ash ra VI, etc.
This is one of my favorite albums in my collection. I got it recently and it is one of my favorites.
Expect a full on mature effort from this musician.
