This album was originally released back in the early '80s, but it never received the attention it deserved. After Gary released this he went on tour in support of Def Leppard on the Pyromania tour. Although he was able to play in front of huge audiences this album never did "take off", and it's a shame because this was a great release.

The intro to the song End Of The World featured a terrific instrumental piece that would please any shred fan, and this was before shred became popular. Don't Take Me For A Loser was a very good "rocker". The album contained two ballads (Always Gonna Love You and Falling In Love With You) that if they had been relaesed they would have been #1 hits, and they would have sent this album soaring up the charts. If you like great guitar playing and good "melodic" harder rock songs pick this one up. You won't be disappointed!!

I have been a Gary Moore fan since his Colosseum II days and he remains one of my all-time favorite guitar players. Incredible technique and great feel. Gary plays his leads as if the ship is going down! Killer tone and blazing licks! I don't think Gary got the recognition he deserved here in the states but he can wail with the best of 'em. There were some pretty impressive guitarists around when this CD was released but I wouldn't take any of them over Gary. Gary was just ferocious on the guitar.
The fact that Gary can go from a fusion band like Colosseum to Thin Lizzy to this to the blues shows just how versatile and skilled a player he is. He is highly proficient in all those styles. I have had the good fortune of seeing Gary perform twice and he was on top of his game, as expected. Trust me, this CD needs to be in your collection, especially if you're a guitarist. Gary is the man!!

Gary Moore rocks out on this album which originally came out in 1982. I love this remastered version with the 3 bonus tracks. All together you get 3 versions of the song "Falling In Love With You" which is a great rock ballad;I especially love the instrumental version where the singing is replaced by excellent guitar solos. Gary's guitar playing is top notch throughout the album. The guitar work at the beginning of "The End of the World" is blistering. This song also features Jack Bruce from Cream on lead vocals.Another familiar name apearing on the album is Ian Paice of Deep Purple who plays the drums. This is cd is one of Moore's better ones, right up there with his other 1980's hard rocking cds.

Wonderful display of Gary's talent. Great backup band. The intro solo on "End Of The World" is worth the price of the CD. Gary was extremely inventive for his time using fills and volume where only Priest and other metal inventors did at this time. Gary now plays the blues, but this stuff is just as good. The best song is hard to choose on this CD, but I lean towards "I Can't Wait Until Tomorrow."

Gary Moore is known as a Blues Rock singer/guitarist. And is that it? Here, Gary Moore demonstrated what a maestro could do with a guitar. Gary got a great band with P-O-W-E-R and talent when recording this album. Gary himself played and sang every song with P-O-W-E-R and style. Any rock fan should not miss the classic "End Of The World" in which Gary showed he could play guitar with P-O-W-E-R and speed as Eddie Van Halen, and he could sing with P-O-W-E-R and vitality as Ian Gillan (ex Deep Purple). That's why I didn't mind paying more money for this import CD after its LP which I got was worn out. That's why I keep using this word "P-O-W-E-R". That's why this album is called "Corridors of P-O-W-E-R".

i picked this one up on vinyl when it first came out almost twenty years ago and i only knew gary from the one album he did with thin lizzy so i didn't know what to expect. i was blown away! first off, his guitar sound was almost perfect. second, ian paice was the drummer (need i say more?) then the songs were so powerful that they nearly blew off the top of my head! i still dust this off once a month and give it a spin and it brings back great memories! the only complaint i have about the cd version is that it doesn't include the three song live ep that came with the original album...it included a version of parisian walkways with the greatest guitar ever! it's a classic album, buy it!

Like the other reviews here, I'll echo that this album is much overlooked. Garys work is the epitome of guitar virtuosity from the 80s. George Lynch, Yngvie Malmsteen, Iron Maiden, Judas Priest. C'mon... Gary Freaken Moore!
Gary made solos that had noticeable spaces in between his scorching lead phrases.
An artist who dares to fiddle with "silence" within his "noise" is considered a pioneer. We can look back now and say "I was a kid". Or you can hear the child-like genius in Garys commitment to "Heavy Metal". Man, UFO! Remember? The Scorps guys! Michael Schenker Group!
Cut 6 off of Garys album here is an incredible new-comer-to-the-Axe inspiration. "The End of the World." When I was 14, I saw God when I heard Garys arpeggios fed through his home-forged sound. As a guitar teacher and facilitator today, Gary has influenced my whole line of teaching. Thanks Gary.
