The group was started by Jorge Hernández, his brothers, and his cousins. They began recording after moving to San Jose, California in the late 1960s, when all the members were still in their teens. Los Tigres Del Norte has done it again. With the genre of corridos, Los Tigres delight not only the group's fans, but also any fanatic of norteno music. Corridos Prohibidos is an exemplary production of my beloved group. If you have not acquired this CD for your collection, do not hesitate purchasing the CD.

This album emphasizes the importance that the tigres have on modern nortenos music in mexico, this album showcases the tigres strong musical ability while they realize their lyrical genius. IT IS A MUST BUY FOR ANY NORTENOS OR TIGRES FAN

This album is one of the best of this Norteño-music from Mexico. Freedom of speech is clearly demonstrated with their music in this ode to narcs, slain journalists, evil lawmakers and drug traffickers. Latino Culture is identified with more than one of this songs. Some of them are pretty crude, but true and explain the situation of Mexico. Great for studying the Cholo-latino... phenomenon in the USA.
