5.0 out of 5 stars A Great Look Back
In 1992, photographer Paul Gaster was introduced to a quartet of unknown music hopefuls. After taking a few shots for a promotional appearance, Gaster figured he wouldn't see the band again. However, the pictures began a long-term relationship that has documented the siblings' rise to stardom.

2.0 out of 5 stars Largely dissapointing
This could have been excellent, and does in fact include many very nice, albeit tasteful, photos of the Corrs. They are all related, three sisters and one brother. I have always been impressed that a group of siblings could stand each other and are able to keep a group together without constant arguing. Even more interesting, I expected to find out more about what goes...

This review is from: The Corrs: Corner to Corner (Paperback)
In 1992, photographer Paul Gaster was introduced to a quartet of unknown music hopefuls. After taking a few shots for a promotional appearance, Gaster figured he wouldn't see the band again. However, the pictures began a long-term relationship that has documented the siblings' rise to stardom.

When a band suddenly bursts on the scene as the Corrs did in 1998, it seems like they were meant to be at the top. "Corner to Corner" proves, however, that this is not the case. Years of hard work go into making a successful group, and it is all displayed here, from grainy and moody shots of four siblings attempting to get a record contract to a homecoming performance in front of 42,000 fans.

It's been a long journey for Andrea, Caroline, Sharon, and Jim, and Paul Gaster beautifully captures the early gigs, the studio sessions, the video shoots, and the private moments so easily spoiled by the public. With touching writing and incredible photographs, "Corner to Corner" provides Corr fans with a great look back at what the band once was - and how far they've come.

5.0 out of 5 stars Life on The Road with The Corrs., September 13, 2003
By
This review is from: The Corrs: Corner to Corner (Paperback)
"Corner To Corner" is an exciting book that chronicles the pathway to stardom for The Corrs, one of Ireland's most popular family bands. This book is loaded with photos of the band all shot by their own professional photographer, Paul Gaster. Gaster also does a fine job of writing his own personal memoir for this book chronicling his adventures as The Corrs photographer.
From The Corrs very first photo shoot in 1992, through their first club gigs, to playing big stadiums, to glimpses backstage, to soundchecks, "Corner to Corner" does an excellent job of capturing what it must be like to be on the road with The Corrs. The photos as well as the essay are very well put together. This is truly a must for any Corrs fan. Take a look!!!

If you love The Corrs as much as I do, then you have to have this book. The photographs are breathtaking, and Paul Gaster takes you on a journey from the very early days all the way up until the TOC(Talk On Corners) era. Fantastic book, a great read, and the photos are gorgeous. If you're Corrazy for The Corrs, buy this book! Every Corrs fanatic should have it.

I have always been impressed that a group of siblings could stand each other and are able to keep a group together without constant arguing. Even more interesting, I expected to find out more about what goes on behind closed doors with these people, particularly in the dressing room they share while on tour. But there is a lot of good nuts'n'bolts information about the workings of this talented band.
