This is great quality Ram, for the price paid. It was installed in to a new build DVR security system and works really well, had no issues what so ever. whether PC or DVR build, if your system allows up upgradability this is a no brainier, and this should give you an instant system performance enhancement. All in all great product, bought reassembly cheaply, win win situation. Highly recommended.

I bought this exact memory module (2x8GB) 3 years ago from New Egg for 110$ and now it costs even more. Good RAM, never had any problems and my computer is speedy and can handle multitasking with ease, but the cost rise for the exact same RAM after 3 years is crazy.

I've had this memory for 3 years and even had XMS2 before it in another build. I have not had a single issue with either the XMS3 or XMS2.

From the Benchmark the Q9400 got 3077 PCMarks score. The 2600K got 4339. Not much upgrade? For me it was well worth it. The q9400 is actually not bad but I needed to upgrade my motherboard since it can only have 2 memory slot and buying an old memory is expensive so decided to upgrade instead. From 4GB to 32GB. Whew! Why did I wait this long. What a difference! I know it is overkill but it is better to have extra. My puter doesn't choke anymore. :) I'm a wedding photographer so I do a lot of editing... and having a good CPU and lots of RAM makes a lot of difference. I use ati firepro v4800 as well.

Price had dropped so I had to have it. More RAM (32GB max) is always best but I really can't see any difference.
Like I heard in the past: buy the biggest HDD (or SSD today) and the most memory you can afford.
It's true and I always end up having to upgrade everything including the CPUs.
Remember the old days when 40 Gig was a lot? well not anymore, now it's between 1 to 4 tera. (ref. to hard drives).

This is Ddr3 1333 ram. It is false advertising to sell this as 1600 speed ram. Both sticks are 1333 speed.

This stuff works very well. I only have one complaint. The factory SPD information automatically sets the memory to operate at 1333mhz even though it is advertised as 1600mhz rated memory. It is tested and will run at 1600mhz. But, if you are not able to access your BIOS to manually tell your computer to run 1600mhz your stuck with it. Other than that I am quite pleased with it.
