This review is from: Corsair CM3X2GSD1066 2GB PC3-8500 1066MHz DDR3 204-Pin SO-DIMM Laptop Memory (Personal Computers)
I used the Corsair to upgrade my 2GB T400 (Lenovo) to 4GB. Installation was quick and uneventful and my laptop (runs Windows 7 Enterprise) immediately recognized the new memory. My computer appears to be performing better post-upgrade.For what this sells, it can't get much better. Before ordering, you should make sure that this is EXACTLY what you need. While DDR3 transfer at twice the data rate of DDR2, they are physically incompatible with DDR2 slots so you can't upgrade from DDR2 to DDR3. You should also be aware that the amount of available memory depends on the operating system and the way your computer is configured (BIOS) so you may not be able to use the all the memory in your system until you install to a 64-bit OS and/or upgrade your BIOS. To me, it's an easy 5 stars. Specs: - Peak transfer rate: 8533 MB/s - Cycle time: 7.5 ns - Memory clock @ 133 MHz - I/O bus clock @ 533 MHz - ONE 2GB module - Limited (what does it mean?) lifetime warranty but there is no warranty statement - Made in Taiwan

I bought this for the HP 311 Netbook. So simple, even an adult can install it! Snaps in and Windows XP picks it up immediatley on a cold boot (Before you install - you must remember to remove big battery, electric power cord AFTER you zap yourself touching the computer (just like walking across carpet and touching something metalic). You will have something like 2.75gb memory when done. When you remove the two screw holding the underplate, you cannot miss the place to plug it in - Label side facing up to you. Push down gently along the sides and you will hear it snap in place. Be gentle, it is a chip. Computer works way,way better with the added memory.

The Asus 1215n netbook is very picky when it comes to memory upgrades. I purchased two of these CM3X2GSD1066 2GB modules and they work flawlessly. All 4GB is recognized in x64 Windows once you upgrade the BIOS to 0604. Corsair is one of the most respected names in the business, and to top it off they offer a lifetime warranty. I've had to RMA a few different modules over the years and their RMA service is outstanding.
