I needed to build a secondary backup PC and did not want to spend a lot of money on the case. Overall, I would say the case build quality was expected for the price. However there are some items to consider if you are looking at buying this case.

1. The hard drive cage is made out of plastic. Cheap but it didn't bother me at this price point; until you you get to observation #2.
2. The case is so light (plastic parts) that it actually vibrates due to the 2 included fans and my CPU fan. The vibration should not be a big deal except I have it in a small corner of the office where the room acoustics amplifies the noise. The vibration is akin to the noise you get when you hit a tuning fork. Homemade solution below.
3. The front fan really doesn't blow air directly over the hard drive bays so this MIGHT be a heat concern for some people.

I'm running an i5 3570k, asus z77-vle plus motherboard, 8 gig of ram, a geforce 650 TI, 1 hybrid hard drive and an old 7200rpm hard drive, along with a generic DVD reader/writer. The system now runs quietly and does not have a heat problem after burning it in for several days and steady hours of GPU/CPU/ & hard drive stress tests.

My cheap but working solution to noise from vibration: I have some spare foam for an old bed and cut it out to attach to key points within the case (top left and right corners next to the 5.25 drive cage and under the the last 2 hard drive bays). I also cut the foam to size and glued it onto the side panels to act as a noise absorber. None of the foam is touching any electrical components so there's no risk of fires or shorting out my PC nor are they obstructing any fans. The foam filled up some of the empty space, still allows for good airflow, & now the case is whisper quiet.

Corsair is known for designing great enthusiast market computer cases. Many people were wary and negative at first about Corsair "daring" to release a low priced computer case to their "Carbide" product line. Well to the naysayers, don't judge a book by its cover. I have worked with other cases in this budget segment, including the Antec One and Thermaltake V3. I would also include the NZXT Elite 210 as well (though I haven't done a build in that case yet, it has gotten good reviews and seems to popular), and the Corsair Carbide 200R seems to be the case to beat. It has great features that Corsair is known for, but at a budget price point. Now obviously at this price point (was less then $50), you make sacrifices. But you should know that already going in. The case has a plastic front panel, which you can remove easily enough, with the front panel cables not attached to it, which is nice. The front panel header is built into the case rather than the removable panel there; nice you don't have to worry about wires getting pulled out. The case has a ton of airflow. It feels pretty sturdy surprisingly. It is surprisingly compact, but you still have a spacious interior. The case has rubber feet, which is great. Cases in this price range usually have those crappy hard plastic feet which cause vibration noise in the computer case and can damage the surface you have the case on.

On the inside, you have great cable management, a rarity in this price range. Both side panels go on and off very easily, and you have enough room behind the motherboard for your cables.

This is my first build and almost everything was perfect with the assembly. Its a nice looking, compact, non-gaudy case that my wife can't complain about. The fit and finish, while a little less solid than I would have liked, was good for this price range. Parts, including MB, DVD drive and SSD popped in well, cable management is good but not perfect as there is a little less room on the side behind the MB for wires that I would have liked, so the side panel was a little difficult to put back on.

Five stars, minus one because perhaps I expected too much. I thought from Corsair's web site that I could fit the Corsair H100 water cooler. Although the Corsair h100 cooler "fits" this case, with a motherbosrd having memory slots at the top (MSI z77a-g45 thunderbolt), once you add the fans, it blocks use of higher profile memory such as Corsair Vengeance. It looks like it might install with low profile memory, but the fans would likely have to be removed to add/remove memory from the mb, as it blocks access to the top side clips.

I have no idea what cooler to use now, but I am not overclocking yet with the 3770k processor so the Intel fan works OK and I am sure I'll find something that will fit.

All in all, I am happy.

This is a great case. Large enough for most applications, and has plenty of fan slots. Tool-free drive bays are very nice. Also the LED and power/reset/etc pins are all clearly labeled for plugging in to your motherboard.

Just be careful of the motherboard risers. You'll have to remove some if you are putting in a microATX board.
