This flash drive is great in terms of ease of use and durability. I've seen several flash drives out there that look like flimsy sticks, but corsair's design is freakin' sweet (meaning you shouldn't be able to accidentally break or crush it). It comes with a 10 year warranty, which shows they care about the quality of their product. The flash drive is supposedly water resistant, but I don't want to loose my data in order to verify that theory.

If you live on a university like me, you find the drive works well with any machine you can throw at it. Windows XP has no problem recognizing the device, but I've yet to try it on OSX. As far as software goes, it gets the job done if you do basic things like me. The software has the ability to partition the flash drive into two disks so you can have one partition encrypted and the other not encrypted. That way if you use a machine with out the corsair software no one can access your data and even if they try then it is password protected. The software is pretty limited to those modes of functionality and I can see users complaining about having something that manages their files/photos/whatever for them. However, if you want something that works and isn't skittish then check out this gem.

I am owning the corsair flash voyager usb 2.0 drive (2GB) and I consider this to be one of the best buys I had recently. Data transfer is extremely fast. All computers that I have used recognize this drive at once. Storage is plenty for my daily data, so I don't need to carry my laptop. In addition, there is a password option included that gives me a feeling of safety in case I loose my flash drive (hopefully I never do). Konrad

I've had this drive for about 2 years, but I doubt it was used even a dozen times.

On positive side:
I think it looks good, or flashy (no pun intended), and rubber casing prevents the chip from hi Gs on impact, if you drop it. Sorry, but that's about it.

On negative side:
I don't think claims about durability of this drive compare to others have any ground. Month since I've had it the rubber cap developed a crack and inevitably got lost. Next thing I know is that rubber casing simply slid from the chip when I pulled the drive of the USB port. Or so I thought I did. Took my some time to figure out what that metal thingy sticking out of my computer is. The chip seems to be attached to the rubber with some glue that obviously wasn't good and didn't even look cured. Well, I lived with that until recently the USB connector simply broke off leaving me with other part in my hands. So why would a piece of rubber be considered better protected then say SanDisk metal casing is beyond me. But I got to give credit to the designers of this unit: they made a great usage of very inexpensive technology - rubber sock over the chip, the profit margin on this unit probably bit any titanium-covered units by wide margin...

My recommendation: stay away from it, if you are really going to use it, but buy it if you just need a cute gift.

no kidding nice product. I like the extra protection it has to prevent damage with the rubberized sheithing. I use mine in my car stereo for mp3 storage and need that protection. works great. and well... nice!!

I purchased 8 of these drives for personal use. What you get is value for money no bells and whistles. That is he reason we buy Flash drives to store information and have it readily available. The drive is super fast and reliable and it looks good and feels good in you hand. They are not made from those cheap plastics they are robust. I have them now over a month and they are really fantastic.

After reading a bunch of reviews of various USB 2.0 flash drives, I became perplexed as to why everyone seemed to report speeds significantly fasther than I was experiencing.

After some experimentation, I discovered that flash drives in MS-DOS format on Macintosh OS X run at a snail's pace compared to when they are formatted in Macintosh Extended format.

If you are using one of these drives with a Macintosh and don't need the ability to read the files on a Windows computer, use the OS X Disk Utlity to reformat the the flash drive to Macintosh Extended (Journaled) format. You will experience the difference between "public transportation" and "warp" speeds!

I regret buying that USB stick, not fast at all and expensive compared to other flash drives. Also cap is loose and very easy to loose it.

Works as advertized and appears well made. Like the speed, rubberized exterior and a snap to use. Comes with optional security encoding software and lanyard.

This a great product, very fast and easy to setup encrypted partition, but ... it is very delicate.

I like it because it has a rubber outside and water proof it ws a great buy and I might buy another one
