Product Description

The Obsidian Series 350D Micro ATX PC case is designed for building compact high-performance systems with Micro ATX and Mini ITX motherboards. The compact size is ideal if space is limited, but there's plenty of room inside for liquid CPU cooling, dual hard drives, dual SSDs, and SLI/Cross Fire ready. Like all Obsidian cases, the 350D is designed for fast and neat builds, with tool-free access and drive installation. Smart features like a native 2.5" SSD cage make the most of its small size, and the cooling-focused interior has five fan mounting points, with room for two 240mm radiators.

Overview

The Micro ATX case for high-performance system builds

The Obsidian Series 350D Micro ATX PC case is designed for building compact high-performance systems with Micro ATX and Mini ITX motherboards. The compact size is ideal if space is limited, but there’s plenty of room inside for liquid CPU cooling, dual hard drives, dual SSDs, and dual full-length graphics cards.

Like all Obsidian cases, the 350D is designed for fast and neat builds, with tool-free access and drive installation. Smart features like a native 2.5” SSD cage make the most of its small size, and the cooling-focused interior has five fan mounting points, with room for two 240mm radiators.

Features

Compact Size

The 350D is smaller than mid-tower cases, so it’s at home on a desktop or tucked away out of sight. The smaller dimensions make it great for building systems for travelling, too.

Superior Expandability

With the 350D, Micro ATX cases are no longer just for building basic systems. There’s room for a full-size liquid CPU cooler and two dual-length radiators, and the five PCI-E slots allow you to install dual full-length graphics cards without using up all your slots. And with two 3.5” hard drive bays and two dedicated 2.5” bays for solid-state drives, storage expansion isn’t a problem.

Flexible Cooling Options

The 350D comes with a 140mm intake fan and a 120mm exhaust fan, and there are mounts for five total. The front and top mounts are spaced for 240mm radiators for more cooling options.

Fast, Neat, and Smart

The 350D is designed for fast and neat builds, with features like tool-free access and drive installation and our innovative cable routing system. A front panel USB 3.0 connector and audio I/O make 350D-based systems easy to use, too.

I would recommend this case if you have your heart set on a micro ATX motherboard for your performance build. While it's only slightly smaller than a compact mid tower, its features justify its size.

Pros:
Plenty of cooling options-I moved the included 120 mm and 140 mm fans to the top, and installed two 140mm intake fans in the front (tight fit, but it worked).
Dust filters
Excellent cable management
Power and HDD LEDs are not blinding (they're white, by the way)
Front panel is easy to remove and replace

Cons:
Slight body flex if lifted unevenly
Installing an optical drive compromises its good looks. I just use a USB drive, but I've witnessed the horror online.

Truly high performance gaming machines belong in at least a mid tower. Truly compact gaming machines belong in an ITX case. I stubbornly chose a micro ATX board because I wanted to save whatever space I could, while enjoying good airflow and giving myself the option of upgrading to SLI, although the proximity of the two graphics cards in the product pictures makes me squirm (go for blower coolers). I'm happy with my choice of case, and recommend it for like-minded builders, especially first-timers who will appreciate the extra interior space.

This case looks all business without the windowed side panel, which is exactly what I wanted. I can't believe how easy this case was to work with.

There wasn't anything that was even remotely difficult to install, and except for the 5.25 drive cage, everything is removable allowing for easy customization and flexibility. It supports a lot of cooling capacity and is still fairly quiet at anything but the highest artificial CPU loads.

To make this review as simple as possible, I'd like to highlight the things that I love most about the case.

PROS

- Great Cable Management
- Quiet Fans
- Attractive Case
- No Obnoxious Side Window
- Sturdy
- Great Temperatures
- EASY SSD INSTALLATION

CONS

I generally try to think of a few cons to balance out the pros in reviews like these, but I truly can't think of any. At this price point, that little extra bit of money that you pay goes a long way, but doesn't go to the very top of PC cases. Fear not when you're purchasing this case, it's a great value for price/performance in this range. I love mine and I think you will too.

Upgrading from an extremely inexpensive (and poor quality case), the 350D is a godsend. I'll leave the technical reviews to those more qualified, but I very much recommend this case to those looking for a not-so-compact (at all) m-ATX case.

Seriously, don't buy this if you're after a small m-ATX case. It dwarfs my old full tower.

Pros:
Seems to be built well, although the top is a bit flimsy. Naturally the H100 and H110 both fit (in the top, and not at the same time).
Well thought out cable management.

Cons:
HDD light on front of case is annoying so I unhooked it. The front USB ports are very tight, they have pulled apart two different flash drives while trying to remover them. The front panel that houses the fan arrived slightly warped so that it bows outward.
Fitting a radiator in the top of the case takes a bit of finagling due to the proximity of the 5" bays (people still use those?)
My biggest pet peeve is the front fan/bay area. It would have been simple to make it deep enough to house a 240mm radiator where the fan sits. The HDD/SSD bays also get in the way of where you would be able to mount one on the inside of the case (yes, you *can* remove them). I have about 6" of extra space between my PSU and the HDD cage, it would be nice to be able to move the cage to that area without having to drill my own mounting hole.

I hope manufacturers start making normal tower style cases without the 5" bays, so much room seems to go to waste.

To start off my review, The shipping was on time. Just the way I love my orders from amazon. The exterior of the case is very sturdy with a nice black finish. When I opened up the case, I noticed that the Motherboard standoff screws were in place automatically, the first time I have seen a case like that. Having a Micro ATX Motherboard fits very well in the case. Very good wire routing to keep my wires neat and clean inside the case. Some of the things I did not like is the "tool free" parts. I inserted my CD Drive correctly and the tool free mechanism did not lock it. The holes were lined up too. I don't believe in tool free installations and I prefer grabbing some spare screws I had from my previous build and screwing my CD Drive down. I did the same with my HDD Installation. The HDD enclosure material feels like a cheap plastic but it got the job done for me. Not to mention the CD Drive you really have to "Push" it in because I was assuming it would be a easy slip in but its not like my previous build with the removable face plate. I ended up figuring how to remove some of the case parts on there because Corsair did not provide a manual of how to remove the parts. This case is one of many parts for my Dad's computer build because Windows XP Is done. Other than that, this case deserves a 5/5 rating because it is a quality brand and the first time I am trying our their cases. Thank you Corsair for your quality products looking forward to shopping with you again.
