Overview

The Micro ATX case for high-performance system builds

The Obsidian Series 350D Micro ATX PC case is designed for building compact high-performance systems with Micro ATX and Mini ITX motherboards. The compact size is ideal if space is limited, but there’s plenty of room inside for liquid CPU cooling, dual hard drives, dual SSDs, and dual full-length graphics cards.

Like all Obsidian cases, the 350D is designed for fast and neat builds, with tool-free access and drive installation. Smart features like a native 2.5” SSD cage make the most of its small size, and the cooling-focused interior has five fan mounting points, with room for two 240mm radiators.

Features

Compact Size

The 350D is smaller than mid-tower cases, so it’s at home on a desktop or tucked away out of sight. The smaller dimensions make it great for building systems for travelling, too.

Superior Expandability

With the 350D, Micro ATX cases are no longer just for building basic systems. There’s room for a full-size liquid CPU cooler and two dual-length radiators, and the five PCI-E slots allow you to install dual full-length graphics cards without using up all your slots. And with two 3.5” hard drive bays and two dedicated 2.5” bays for solid-state drives, storage expansion isn’t a problem.

Flexible Cooling Options

The 350D comes with a 140mm intake fan and a 120mm exhaust fan, and there are mounts for five total. The front and top mounts are spaced for 240mm radiators for more cooling options.

Fast, Neat, and Smart

The 350D is designed for fast and neat builds, with features like tool-free access and drive installation and our innovative cable routing system. A front panel USB 3.0 connector and audio I/O make 350D-based systems easy to use, too.

Pros: - Easy cable management!

Conclusion: While I had a few complaints, I still very highly recommend the Corsair 350D, it's an all around fantastic case for a m-atx build.

The case had no problem fitting my two GTX 760 GPUs and an aftermarket CPU cooler.

This little case has so many features that I was fully expecting to pay $200 for it when I saw it announced. This is a very impressive Micro-ATX case for the money. It offers huge flexibility for water cooling/air cooling solutions, great cable management potential, good build quality, and a very professional and sleek appearance while offering a HUGE side window to show off your components.

Up front the fan intakes are behind a removable metal front-plate with a fan-filter in between; the gap around the front panel is very large and deep which offers lots of room to draw air through, though I would still recommend pressure optimized fans to help move air through the case. There are plenty of mounting holes for either a dual 120mm setup, dual 140mm, or single 140mm (fans or rad). The front filter is large and easy to remove, although the mesh could be slightly better quality and the edges of mine are fraying in places (just a nit-pick). The power button and the rest of the front is all finished in brushed and anodized-black aluminum that looks downright fantastic. Corsair really nailed the looks on the Obsidian cases, and the 350D is no exception.

The metal side panel is taken up almost entirely by an enormous window, in fact it's really not a side panel but a window with some panel at the edges! I'm so glad Corsair didn't add a vent on the window which can ruin the aesthetics of a case. Inside there are many details that Corsair added which make for a great building experience. Everything is black-painted steel and feels quite sturdy. The HDD cages can be removed very easily with a few screws and you can fit a large front rad with ease; also the sliding drive trays are very easy to use.

This case is just awesome, it looks simple and clean, and meets most of the expectations. I've been using this case for my new gaming system build for about a month and it has done me well.

Positives(+)
* Nice large square window(I love how uniform and open the window is, and I think cases that have that weird rectangular window looks horrible.)
* Brushed design of the exterior looks nice.
* Good dust filters!
* Easy to move around and clean out.
* Plenty of flexibility with this case.
* All around feels like quality material.
* Corsair
* Easy to do clean cable management.

Negatives(-)
* The front panel that you can take off has latches that hold it in place that could easily break, and it can be hard to attach it back at times.
* It really needs another quarter of an inch of height if you use an H100i with fans, H100i fans press against the processor power cable.
* The 5.25 bay covers look weird if you take one off and install a drive
* SSD cage is cheap and kind of silly.
* Would have loved stack-able mechanical hard drive cages instead of ones for the SSD( I really wish I could install one more hard drive.)
* An optical drive will really stick out inside of this case. Most people don't really use optical drives anymore, I don't even use mine, but I have a hard time departing with them so It was kind of annoying how the back of the optical drive sticks out.

Conclusion: While I had a few complaints, I still very highly recommend the Corsair 350D, it's an all around fantastic case for a m-atx build. This case is priced well for what you get, and it's probably one of my favorite small form factor cases ever. This case actually feels more like an in-between of a m-atx and atx case. This is definitely a case you should buy if you like small form factor, but not to small!

This case is everything I had hoped it would be and I love the design . Has wonderful cable management, made of quality materials, great air flow, removable dust filters, etc. It really made putting the computer together a breeze!

However, this case is almost the same size as my last mid tower computer. Its hardly micro, but I don't regret my decision. Loved this case from the moment I seen it.

IMPORTANT ADVICE:
Don't forget to check the motherboard stand offs! Make sure they are all tight and not cross threaded before putting the motherboard in. Its good practice to do on any computer, but I forgot this time and almost couldn't get my motherboard back out, because the screw was stuck in the stand off! The solution was to get lock pliers and hold the motherboard stand off from the other side of the motherboard tray where it was barley poking out while taking the screw out.
I could of left it, but wanted to fix it encase i want to reuse this case in the future and figured it would be better to fix then, before putting it completely together.

I have been building computers for about 20 years now, and there is always at least one annoying thing with every case that makes you think "why would they do this" here is your exception. This case is very well made and the layout is well thought out. There are several features I like about this case; the snap in filters, hard drive cages, cable management, and airflow are among the top. You get a lot of case for the money.

The case is great! It looks gorgeous and functions well. The mobo tray is particularly helpful because of the nice grommets it provides for cable management. Many people claim to have issues with plastic inside of the case breaking - my advice is to not yank on anything. I've had no issues so far with any clips snapping because I've been careful with it.

My only issue would be a slight rattling noise I get when my PSU fan turns on. It worried me at first (new PSU) but I later found that it was the air filter under the case. If yours rattles just jam something between it and the case so it doesn't have room to wiggle - but don't block your PSU.
