5.0 out of 5 stars Check Compatibility Lists First
My system build is an I7-920 with Gigabyte 58x board and 6mb ram. Not a single problem with this product. Very stable and robust - overclocks quite readily - runs like greased lightning. Corsair probably makes the most robust pc memory on the market.

2.0 out of 5 stars Doesn't run at default settings
Got these on I7 920 + ASUS P6X58D Premium.
So the story was like this
I started the computer overclocking the CPU to 3.32GHz, 1.35V, Memory 1604MHz, 1.65V, 9-9-9-24 (default timing), failed to install windows.
Then I went for CPU 3.2GHz, 1.35V, Memory 1546MHz, 1.65V, 9-9-9-24, BSOD upon entering windows.
Then I went for CPU 3.1GHZ, 1.35V, Memory...

90% of the purchasers of this memory (CMX6GX3M3A1600C9) at Newegg give this ram a 5-star rating - and half of the lower ratings have EVGA boards ([...]), which makes me think that Wavey Davey's problem is motherboard-ram compatibility. Corsair doesn't list the EVGA boards in their compatibility lists, which are quite extensive - buyer beware, and do your homework.

August 9, 2011. It's now a year later. I've added another 6mb of this ram and the system is still running just fine. Am very satisfied.

I built a new PC using an Asus P6X58D-E motherborad with an Intel I7-950 and installed the memory with no issues. I have been using the new system now for about two weeks running under Windows 7-64 operating system and it flies to say the least! Great value for 6GB for under $130.

actually bought 2 sets of these for 12gb.they work fine on asus p6t deluxe oc palm. didn't need to up any voltage to make these 2 sets work properly. (did few hours of memory tests)
only problem is usps, their always late and unorganized at best. no wonder they're 3billion in debt.

Bought this RAM kit back in March 2010 when I first built my computer, and just bought another kit to bring my RAM up to 12GB to accommodate running more virtual machines at one time. Have it in an Asus P6T MoBo and both sets have been working fine at 1600MHz since installing them. Certainly recommended.

5.0 out of 5 stars Very good quality Triple Channel RAM, June 2, 2011

Well there's not much I can say. umm it works and it's memory that works. If you are thinking of going with triple channel memory with the i7 series then this is what you want. Also the price is unbeatable. I've overclocked my CPU and these memory modules still run with insane speeds. I'm using a Asus Sabertooth X58. No problems found here. However if you aren't seeing all 6GBs of memory in the BIOS I suggest reseating the RAM sticks. I had to reset my RAM about 3 times and I'm never removing them again lol. I've been using this RAM for about a month in a half with no problems thus far. This RAM is very good for overlocking as well and very flexible for different BIOS settings. Also I'm loving the heat shields Corsair provided, that's just a big plus.

The ram is so good and so reasonably priced I'm thinking about buying another set just so I can say I have 12GBs of RAM. Well honestly I use alot of RAM eating programs. Like music programs and video editing etc. If you are a casual user or a gamer you will only need one set of these RAM triple channel kits.

I've had this memory installed on my new system for about 7 months now.
Gigabyte x-58 mobo with a i7-950 cpu.
My only problem is that my system eats up 2gb of ram with no programs actually running.
Guess i have to buy another set.
Well... as far as i can remember, this memory set was $100+ the last time I bought one. $64 dollars for a 6 gb ram is a kick for your buck :))

Running these on an Asus motherboard with Intel Core i7 processor. Snapped right into place, and the machine is a speed demon! I am a professional photographer, not a gamer, but use resource hogging programs like Lightroom and Photoshop for hours each day, and I have never had a machine respond so quickly. Fantastic value!

I purchased two of these 6GB kits for a total of 12GB in my new Intel X58 I7 based system - the memory performs great and set at 1600MHz, they deliver a WEI of 7.8! I couldn't be more pleased with their performance and stability.

For reference my system is as follows:
Intel I7 950 3.07Ghz CPU
12GB Corsair Triple Channel DDR3 1600MHz Memory
128GB ADATA Sandforce SSD
2x Seagate Barracuda 6GBs 2TB HDDs
ASUS P6X58D-E Motherboard
Zotac GTX 465 GeForce Graphics Card
