5 SATA power connectors come on two cables, one in a chain of 2 and one in a chain of 3. I guess they would work fine if you have your disks stacked one on top of the other. In my case I had to put 2 HDs side by side and 2 SSDs side by side. It didn't work for this arrangement because the SATA connectors in each chain are too close together. I had to buy an additional cable.

Apart from that it was great - the best I could find that fits the standard size for cases for micro ATX mobos. As far as I can see if you want a better PSU than this you've got to go for a full size case and mobo.

I built my first computer with one of these, and it worked great. Clean modular design is awesome, and it provided plenty of power for my mATX build. The only drawback was that the fan started buzzing loudly after a few weeks. I'm returning it for another one, so hopefully the next one will be okay. If not for the fan noise, this thing would get 5 stars from me.

very nice unit. I used my kill a watt meter before and after installing this unit and found it used only 111 watts when my pc was idle verses 130 watts that my generic dell psu used when idle. during periods of high load such as playing video games the power supply used aroud 180 watts versed 215 watts my generic dell psu. so you can expect to see some energy savings at around 20 to 30 watts which is pretty nice.

Pros:
very quiet
looks nice
modular cables
energy efficient (saved me 20-30 watts)

Cons:
SATA cable was not long enough to go all the way across my case to where my HD was located. I just moved my HD, so not a huge problem

The SATA power connecters are far too close together. I couldn't get two hard drives and a CD-ROM drive connected securely and without worry over bending the connection on the device in my mini-ITX case because of how close the SATA connectors were along the ribbon cable. This was really dissapointing - each SATA ribbon cable (comes with two) have two SATA connectors (vs. three which would have solved this issue easily) and I had to move the center connector in order for it to work. Ridiculous. This is compounded by the nutjob that designed the SATA port in the first place. It has to be one way and SATA power cables are ribbon cables and thus wire comes out the left or right not the top so if your HDD is mounted to a location where the back of it is not unobstructed, you can't plug it in without sort of bending the wires hard and having the drive's port be under stress.

Tried this affordable little PSU on a medium-power 1366 config: couldn't be happier ; silence, efficiency and functionality. I would bet on stable and quality current.

450W would seem low for a x58, according to reviews and marketing; it is not. Marketing gimmicks are misleading and have us end with over-spec'ed PSU's with less than optimal efficiency.

This PSU currently powers a 95W westmere xeon (an oldie but a goodie), a frugal R7/250 radeon, 1 SSD + 1 HD. That leaves lots of overhead for more peripherals if needed.

Extreme linpack tests won't even have the fan spin faster. 450W is indeed more than enough for most non-gaming desktops.

Recently noticed that the Fan seems to blow out instead of in. Opened a Corsair ticket before reversing the fan. Weird but harmless so far.

Purchased at a discount price (58€ shipped), perfectly satisfied. Recommend++

I am not a fanboy but Corsair is one of the best brands and best bang for your buck when shopping for a PSU. My first Corsair PSU was the CS650 which failed after a month. I rechecked my system and figured that 650W is barely enough for my system since my factory overclocked GTX980 is using more power than nVidia's advertised specifications. I explained the situation to Corsair and I was surprised that they didn't use the fact that I purchased a wrong unit for my system and overload the PSU against me. I was fully refunded for the CS650 and my CS750 works great so far. Its been a month already and I am very happy with it. I am using a factory clocked GTX980 (from Gigabyte) and I overclocked it to check how the PSU will respond pushing the limits on various games. No power failures and it is working silently.

Conclusion: Best bang for your buck if you are building a gaming rig.

An excellent product! I purchased this to replace a PSU of dubious quality before doing other, power hungry upgrades. The modular design and sleeved cabling help keep cable management sexy and airflow unobstructed. Coil whine is nonexistent, and the fan noise is basically inaudible even under prolonged, heavy workloads. It DOES have a fan that does indeed spin, so a silent PSU this is not. However, to put the unit's noise into perspective: I run Noctua NF-F12 iPPC fans on my system, and as quiet as they are, they drown out the sound of the PSU.
