Product Description

Product Description

The wide body, low-pitch blades of the SP120 fans Twin Pack combined with the custom housing provides outstanding static pressure and airflow through heatsinks or radiators. With rubberized corners, a quiet and reliable Advanced Hydraulic Bearing, and an included step-down resistor for even quieter operation, the SP120 truly is the strong, silent type.

From the Manufacturer

The advanced design of the SP120 provides the higher static pressure that radiators and heatsinks demand, while maintaining a quiet noise profile. Seven ultra-wide, custom-molded blades deliver high static pressure, and the customized fan enclosure helps airflow move in the right direction. The rubber mounts and the advanced hydraulic bearing system combine high reliability with low-noise operation. Three included colored rings allow you to customize the look of the fan to match the rest of your hardware.

The wide body, low-pitch blades are custom-molded for high static pressure air delivery with low noise, while rubber corners reduce vibration and noise.
High Static Pressure for Efficient Cooling on Radiators or Heatsinks

Cooling today’s high-performance PCs is a complex task, and a single fan design can’t meet every need. The fan you use to exhaust hot air out of your case might not be the best fan to mount flush against a heatsink or radiator.

Static pressure is the measure of how well a fan can push air in this type of highly restrictive environment, and this is where the SP120 excels. It’s an ideal solution for radiator and heatsink use, as well as drive bay intakes, and other locations where you’re mounting a fan directly adjacent to a heat source.

For high-volume cooling in less restrictive environments, like case exhaust or side intakes, check out our AF series of high-volume fans.

I bought these fans to replace the 200mm fan in the top of my case. (see Photos) Very good quality black plastic with rubber grommets in the mounting holes.

They also push a lot of air. Fairly quiet unless I turn up my fan controller to high. But I blame that on the fact that the 600T case has a dust cover over the fans.

I would highly recommend these fans if you want the ability to move a lot of air and look good while doing it.
Corsair quality really shines through. "2 Thumbs up, 5 star rating!"

I purchased 2 pairs of these fans. I removed the new existing fans that came with the H100 and installed these. Well after installation got to say that all 4 are quite in comparison to the 2 provided in the H100 cooling system.
Setting this up in a push pull fashion reduced my temps by 7C, nice.

I honestly found my way to Corsair through Linus Tech Tips on YouTube and his unboxing and review taught me how to look at fans and how to purchase the specific fans for each specific application. Corsair makes the AF and SP fans and both do different things. Each comes with a performance and a quiet edition. What I found amazing was that regardless of the high performance versions or the quiet versions, the fans came with voltage step downs that helped you drop the fan RPMs even more. I bought High Performance SP120 fans to run a push pull on my Corsair H80i all enclosed water cooler on an overclocked I5 3750K Intel processor now running at 4.2Ghz. I used the step down voltage cables Corsair included to get the RPMs down to a very quiet 1000 RPMs using Corsair Link software on the radiator of the H80i. What I found was at top RPMs the performance versions were loud sure, but at 1000 rpms they became whisper quiet. I can still hear them but that is because I am running a fan controller for my case fans which are all quiet AF120 Corsair fans and they are seriously quiet already. The goal was to get a solid temp for the CPU running at 4.2Ghz with the H80i but keep it in a quiet profile and I can honestly say I run Prime 95 CPU stress tests for 30 minutes and only hit 60 degree C once and never over 60 degrees C. That is some serious power by Corsair to keep things cool. All my Corsair fans run at the lowest RPM possible and I can maintain a steady 30 Degrees C inside the case. Corsair makes strong, reliable, and seriously high quality products and backs them up with big warranties. I trust them to keep my gaming rig cool and performing top notch. I highly recommend anyone using a liquid all in one cooler like the H80i or other all in ones to go with Corsair SP120 quiets.Read more ›

I bought the twin pack of the Corsair SP120 fans for my water cooled rig. I have an XSPC Raystorm rs360 water cooling kit with an added on Enzotech MST88 waterblock on my MOSFETs. My CPU is an overclocked AMD FX8350 @5Ghz at 1.5V. I've been researching fans for months. Finally I watched a couple videos on YouTube as well as some spec charts and decided to pick these up. The price is a bit steep, but these fans were worth it. They are what they say they are - high performance, static pressure fans. And they performance how I hoped they would perform! On idle with the fan speed turned town, the move more air than my stock XSPC Xinrulian 1650RPM fans. On full speed, my PC runs (on idle) at room temperature overclocked (which I've never seen with this CPU!). On Max load, I've seen a 5-10 celcius temperature drop. These thing really move air!
I replaced two fans on my radiator. One fan remaining is one of the stock fans and on top I have a 2,000RPM Antec LED fan to help with the "push pull" method. I feel these two fans are powerful enough without replacing them all (although I would love to change them all if the price wasn't so much). Packaging was great. Frustration free box that easily slides out of the packaging. The color options are nice although a black band would have been nice for those who don't like any color at all.

Some cons and why I docked a star. First off, without a fan controller, these things are noisy. On max they are a bit on the noisy side. This was to be expected but at mid range RPM, I also noticed since installing these a mild rattling sound. I think it might be positioning/mounting, but if it keeps it up I may have to RMA one of the fans (which honestly is a huge inconvenience/drag moving around and taking apart my massive PC).

These fans have been great, I stuck them on a h100i in a pull configuration and they've been fantastic. The only draw backs so far is the noise, but I knew that before purchasing them. If you are worried about noise, it still isn't that bad, I don't ever notice it when I actively doing something but that might just be me.

Nice fans, really moves air. I assume that it's understood that they aren't going to be quiet, since these are the high performance editions, not the quiet ones, but they are fairly loud when ran at full speed. So they aren't going to be the ideal fan for something quiet like a media box. And it's not like they are jet engines, but they are noticable bit louder than the fans I replaced. But man, they move some air. And being a Corsair product, I expect them to run darn near forever, since virtually everything Corsair makes is one of the best in class products.
