The RAM works great and is super fast.

Scoring a 7.9 in WEI is all I need though, so overclocking the RAM further seems pointless to me.

Running the fastest ram that my processor can handle makes things so much nicer!

I see a lot of reviews pointing out that this RAM runs at 1333 when installed and you first power on your PC. This is true. However, this RAM is compatible with the X.M.P. Profile that is in almost all newer Motherboards BIOS that supports this speed (1866) anyway. Usually found in the overclock section of the BIOS is an Extreme Memory Profile that is by default disabled. Select, say, profile 1 and the RAM should instantly run at 1866MHz without affecting any other factors. I did confirm that once the XMP Profile is used the timings are in fact 9-10-9-27.

Windows Experience Index rates my RAM at the max 7.9 which ties my OCZ SSD and CPU, an Intel i7 2600K overclocked to 4.5GHz using a Corsair Hydro H70 Liquid Cooling solution.

I only have 2 of these for 8GB and Plan on getting 2 more for a total of 16GB. The RAM is superb in my opinion and should definitely be considered if you want to run it at it's advertised speed. If you Motherboard supports XMP Profiles, it's simple to get it running at 1866. If not, other overclocking methods need to be utilized as others have pointed out to get to the advertised speed or beyond. Scoring a 7.9 in WEI is all I need though, so overclocking the RAM further seems pointless to me.

First, of the 4 sticks I bought 1 was unstable. After further examination I noticed the heat sink was loose and this may have been causing an issue. As always, amazon replaced it no questions asked.

As others have said default is 1333. On an ASUS P8Z68-Pro I let the ASUS Automatic OC tool in their AI Suite II deal with these setting it to Extreme. It determined them to be most stable at about 1600. I left it alone after that as I've tried to push RAM before and have only brought trouble onto myself. Although these could probably run fine over 1800 I'm not comfortable with it given the 1 bad stick I already had.

For the price they are good RAM.
-1 for the bad stick I received
-1 for the low default settings

When received 4 modules? none of that did work as 9-10-9-27. All I could do is 10-11-10-30 at 1866. No stable working at declared 1866 at all.
Stable work only at 1600 with 9-9-9-27. Inside there was an usual Hynix 1333 module.
after working for 1 year - one module stops working.
and no chance for return.
the worst modules i ever bought!
I should better buy cheap Hynix 1333 and overclock it to 1600 with 7-7-7-21 or if I will be lucky to 1866

works great, but as some of the guys said here, you need to enable the profile from asus to be able to get the 1866Mhz

I build my own gaming desktop, and this was the memory I used Corsair Vengeance 8GB. I got more computer components here.

I already purchased the same set two years ago. 8GB seemed to work just fine for me but after a couple intensive projects in Photoshop, 8 was just not cutting it. I wanted another set to double my capacity. It did just the trick. None of the sticks have crapped out on me and they're to my perception blazing fast. Definitely recommend for a happy medium between performance and moderation.

I ordered this a year and a half ago and it was 55$, now its 109$ for some reason i dont understand.. and one of the two rams stopped working and didn't let my PC boot after 1year+ usage.. So i'm saying this is not going to be durable..
