Product Description

Product Description

CORSAIR high performance Vengeance SODIMM memory module 8 GB (1x8 GB) 1600MHz 10-10-10-27, 1.5V, allows you to automatically boost performance of your 2G Intel Core i5 and i7 notebooks without bios reconfiguration. Each module is built using carefully selected DRAM to allow excellent stability and backed by Corsair's limited lifetime warranty

From the Manufacturer

Vengeance laptop memory upgrade kits are designed for getting the most performance from notebook and laptop PCs. Vengeance memory modules are built with DRAM chips specially selected for their high-performance potential.

The SODIMM form factor allows you to bring award-winning Vengeance memory performance to your notebook PC.

High-Performance Vengeance Memory for your Laptop

More memory for more processing power

If you're a serious road warrior or you use your notebook for heavy-duty applications like photo and video editing, your notebook should have as much memory as possible. Adding a 4GB or 8GB laptop memory upgrade kit will allow you to multitask between more programs at once and load and edit larger files without having to wait for data to buffer to the drive.

Compatible with most laptop and notebook PCs

Vengeance laptop memory upgrade kits are designed to work with any PC or notebook which accepts standard DDR3 SODIMMs.

Optimized for Superior Performance on the Latest Laptops and Notebooks

Many laptops — even those sold as performance systems — come equipped with memory that's not capable of running at the maximum speed supported by the processor. If your notebook is equipped with a 2nd Generation Intel Core i5 or Core i7 processor, it will automatically detect the faster speed supported by the Vengeance laptop memory upgrade kit. No BIOS adjustments are necessary to take advantage of the faster memory speed.

A smart performance upgrade for older laptops, too

Vengeance memory is backward compatible with notebooks which use first-generation Intel Core i5 and Core i7 processors. Even if your notebook doesn't use the latest-generation processor, you can still upgrade to 8GB using only two memory slots, and enjoy the confidence of Corsair's renowned service and support.

Serious about PC memory? So are we.

Like the legendary Dominator, enthusiast-grade Vengeance DRAM is designed for stability, and stringently factory-tested.

Designed for Enthusiasts. Backed by Corsair.

World-famous reliability and performance

There's a reason why world-champion overclockers, extreme gaming enthusiasts and high-end system builders all trust Corsair for high-performance memory that they can install with confidence and pride. Whether you're breaking your own records or you're simply building a dream gaming rig, you can count on Corsair memory.

The Corsair Advantage

With a long history of building enthusiast-grade memory and components, we've earned a reputation for quality, compatibility, and performance. Need help? We're available by phone call, email or web forum.

Customer Reviews

Runs smoother with faster boot times, faster opening programs, etc.
Anthony C. Griffith
I have not done a memtest on it yet, but I have not had any issues with blue screens so I'm assuming the stick i stable and not defective.
R. Chen
Memory was easy to install and was recognized by my laptop as expected.

I bought this memory to upgrade my ZenBook UX32VD-DH71. Worked like a champ.

You need a torx T5 to remove the screws on the bottom. Carefully separate the bottom from the laptop. It has double sidded sticky tape at the hinge area. Once the bottom is off, your memory is just about in the middle. Slightly bend out the retaining clips, and the original memory pops up. Just slide it out. I transfered the aluminum wrap around (heat sink) on the original memory to the Corsair memory. Checking pin alignment, I slid the Corsair into the slot. Then pushed it down until it seated into the retaining clips. Installed the bottom of the laptop, and powered it up. Came right up the first time no problems.

The UX32VD-DH71 has 2GB of memory built into the system. The original memory stick was 2GB, for a total of 4GB of memory that I started with. Installed the 8GB Corsair, and now have 10GB of RAM. Runs smoother with faster boot times, faster opening programs, etc. Worth the upgrade.

I highly recommend this memory.

So far so good. This RAM was used in an ASUS S500CA and made it possible for me to fully set the Intel HD 4000 Graphics to a default of 512 MB.

I slapped this in my new 2012 Mac Mini (the max it can take) and it works great(16gb total). There isn't a whole lot more to say. At least those thinking of using this in a Mac will know it is compatible.

UPDATE 5/20/2014
Reduced rating down to 1 star. Since I ordered the ram, I have had to replace it twice. Two failures is two too many. Will never buy Corsair again.

I recently bought a new laptop with 8GB (2X4GB) 1600MHz RAM from HP and the WEI on Windows 7 was 7.8. To have the laptop shipped with 16GB of RAM was $200 more. So I bought this 2 of these Corsair Vengenace Laptop RAM 8GB DDR3 1600MHz for less than $100 which brought my laptop up to a total of 16GB. I re-ran the WEI and the Memory (RAM) rating is now the Maximum 7.9. I also added a Corsair GT 240GB SSD, and that has a WEI of 7.9 also. Now I have a Super Fast, Most Awesome Laptop that Runs at lightning speed. It boots and connects to the internet in about 15 seconds and I can have a ton of applications open all at the same time. When I start the laptop out of Hibernation, it is up and running in less than 5 seconds. I love Corsair's RAM and SSD's. Life is Good!

I bought this ram on accident thinking it would work with my new ultrabook.

I gave it 5 stars because returning it was fast

These are ment for 2nd and 3rd generation processors: Sandy and Ivy bridge.
This ram runs with DDR3 1.5v, so if you have the 4th generation Haswell processor, you need to use the DDR3L 1.35V RAM. I hope that prevents someone from making the same mistake I did.

With AV, firewall, spyware and with other software installed, my windows 7 laptop with 4gb RAM booted to a fully-usable state in a rather slow 1 min 20 s to 1 min 30 seconds. Put this 8gb stick in and that time reduced to around 50 seconds to 1 min. Yes, I did timed it before I put the new RAM in to confirm if the new RAM really matters when it come to speed. That's a really good result for such a simple upgrade. I originally thought that running at higher clock speed with higher CL is better. The opposite is better, however. So by running at slightly lower clock speed (667 MHz) with a lower CL (CL9), this RAM is actually faster than its counterparts running at 800 MHz-CL11. Also, at 1.5v, this RAM use slightly more juice than their 1.35v counterparts. At the end of the day though, the small differences probably don't matter and I'm extremely happy to see the drastic reduction in boot time. I had good experience with Corsair so I'm going to keep this new RAM too. Next: SSD because the 5400RPM HDD in my laptop is the main reason for that 50 sec to 1 min boot time now. Fresh install windows 7 and I could see my boot time to fully-usable state at around 20-25 seconds.

It does exactly as its supposed to and it shipped without defects. There's not a lot more that needs to be said for laptop memory.
