This headset is very comfortable and great sound!
Adam Watkins
The battery life lasted about 5 hours, an estimate, and you can always charge your headset while they are in use.
Momma Mary
The plastic is cheap, and both ears are cracked with the right side completely falling out.

UPDATE July 20th 2014
Well, with some better tape :) I managed to extract another five weeks: this headset it done.
Looking around for a replacement, I settled on the... Corsair Vengeance 2100.

The Steelseries H and Astra A50 look very tempting, but 280 or so for a headset is stretching it too far for me. I've dropped as much as that on headphones, but let's not pretend any wireless headset will approach the sound quality of the pick of equally priced, (semi-) professional headphones, anytime soon. At the 2100's price-point, it's still pretty much it versus Logitech's G930, and I don't like that one any more than I did two years ago.

As I found earlier, the key improvement of the 2100 over the 2000 are said to be the hinges. Corsair implicitely acknowledging exactly what was wrong with what was otherwise a near-perfect product and improving on it is what's making me stick with them. Other than the break, the solid wireless connection, long battery life, comfortable fit and quality microphone have made the 2000 a joy to use, and I'm looking forward to getting that same experience back, in an improved package. And for once, I intend not to test it by dropping it.

UPDATE June 9th 2014
Well, four days short of two years in, it's finished. The left cup is now pretty much dangling by the gaffa tape I jury rigged it with eight months ago. Unless I rig a chin-strap, which I'm guessing won't be a popular style choice anytime soon, it's ripe for the bin. It's an aweful shame, because other than the break, this has been by far my most satisfying headset, wired or wireless.

Still, I'm sticking to the four star rating, since I can't deny I dropped it several times before it broke.

Would be a good set of headphones, except 1 thing:
They break.
And, I dont mean with rough usage, dropping them, rolling over the cord, or anything like that.
Just regular usage.
Carefully putting them aside when not in use.
I bought these on: July 11, 2012
They broke today.
I actually have 2 sets of Corsair headsets, this and the 1500 ones.
After seeing that my 1500 ones were broken, I went and checked my wireless ones. Sure enough, one side is cracked, and the other is already stress cracking.
VERY cheap plastic used on these.
I am HIGHLY disappointed.
I wonder if they are in warrenty, I will replace them.

This is in fact a review for the Corsair Vengeance 2000 headset. Amazon grouped all of the Corsair headset reviews into one clump on this website, but there is not one review for the new Vengeance 2000 headset. Mine is the first ;) So, let's get started.

The Corsair Vengeance 2000 is Corsair's first serious try at entering the high end PC gamer market. This headset directly competes with the Logitech G930 wireless gaming headset that has been on the market now for over 2 years. Here are my Pros and Cons and side-by-side comparison of the two headsets:

- Very good overall design
- Rugged design and feels more solidly built than the Logitech G930
- Battery life is excellent rated at 10 hours for wireless operation - same as the G930
- Excellent wireless range rated at 40 feet - same as the G930
- Charges quickly and USB-to-Micro USB cable is included as part of the purchase - same as the G930
- Very good virtual 7.1 surround sound (but, not better than the true analog 5.1 and 7.

I usually do not post product reviews, but rarely am I so disappointed in a product. The sound quality on this headset is of good. Although you can hear slight feedback from the mic inside the headset. The issue is purely build quality. This is a flimsy headset, for the price I would expect more. I purchased on Oct 22nd and my headset cracked where the ear piece goes into the headset band on November 20th. Less than a month. I RMA'd and I was happy that Corsair took care of shipping both ways. I received my new headset on January 2nd and now January 31st this pair has cracked in the exact same spot. I am very disappointed. I have been extremely careful with this headset and I have still went through 2 of them. Just not acceptable. I will refrain from purchasing corsair products going forward.

I purchased this headset to replace my wired Logitech G35, as I was getting sick and tired of the wire trailing next to me. I was a little hesitant at first after hearing from many people that wireless just isn't as good as wired, boy am I glad I didn't listen to them! This headset is simply amazing! One thing that really bothered me with my G35 was the leather like cushion on the ear pieces, after an extended session of play my ears would be sweating. I am happy to say that the soft fabric cushion on this Corsair headset is superior in this respect. I can wear it for hours without any irritation. As for sound quality, at first the sound is a little flat, but after messing around with the build in EQ profiles in the driver, I can safely say that once properly adjusted, these speakers are AMAZING! It also lasts the manufacturer stated battery life, and even longer! I got almost 11 hours of charge on mine! Another fantastic and quality product from Corsair. Don't hesitate to pick this baby up, well worth the cost!
