4.0 out of 5 stars Avast, Ye Scurvy Dawgs..., November 19, 2000

An excellent game. Play as either ENGLISH or FRENCH. Never-ending action...No long pauses between battles...Sink the enemy from broadsides or board and capture...Command anything from Flutes to Galleons...Hours and Hours of fun...I've played other "realistic" pirating games, but nothing compares to CORSAIRS...The only derogatory thing I have to say about it: Not enough DIFFERENT challenges (gameplay restricted to specific scenarios)...

5.0 out of 5 stars Best naval game ever, July 4, 2000

Corsairs does a fine job of balancing keeping your crew in line and still trying to meet the harsh requisitions distributed by the buyers of your "merchandise". A phenomonal, well rounded game

5.0 out of 5 stars arrg ye be hard core pirate?, July 4, 2006
= Fun:5.0 out of 5 stars
This review is from: Corsairs: Conquest at Sea (CD-ROM)
This game was alot of fun. I was playin it at a friends house and he gave me a copy and i loved playing it. Im very tactical so if u want to capture a notoriouse pirate u have to use a plan. The requirements are very low and i played it om my old HP pavllion."1995...very old". I ended up acsedentaly scracting the disc and my friend lost the original. When i found that people were selling theres i was on it like to fat people to ihop on free pancake day.lol The main objective is to get lots of money and build the bigest ships. I myself on the last misstion had 3 300 man ships and that was alot of fire power. Of course there are some downfalls, the wind can be a nussince when trying to catch ships that are faster, the enemy trys hit and run tactics to capture ships, try to keep ships that have diffrent speeds togeather and be a great deal of work, but contrary to popular belife u dont have to click everytime when tradeing goods u just have to click and hold when the buttons clicked in. all in all it is a really fun game and if u have some pations and alot of tactical skill this is a really fun game and im glad to have it back.

(I sail on Captain Feathersword's Friendly Pirate Ship)
