I'm not sure I could live without this pomegranate molasses. I drink a lot of pomegranate and other fruit-flavored green teas, and it is the perfect sweetener. Go easy: it takes less than you think. I also use it with unflavored fat-free Greek yogurt and occasionally as a topping on vanilla ice cream. It is simply scrumptious. Other products that call themselves syrups do not compare favorably; they either do not concentrate the juice or add water after concentrating. Cortas is the real thing.

Quite a sour pomegranate molasses (they vary), but i like that as its much easier to sweeten a dish than to try and get a sickly sweet taste out. Recommended.

Some narsharab can be a bit sweet. I suppose it may be the difference between pomegranate syrup versus molasses. This brand is a nice, in-the-middle between too sweet and too sour. I bought the case of four because it's more economical and now keep a bottle at the office as well and now don't need to bring a separate container when I bring dushbara for lunch.

This is also outstanding served with/on salmon which is either pan fried or broiled. Yum!!!

I love the intense flavor and perfect balance of tart and sweet this particular brand brings to the table (pun intended). I do want to disclose up front that I purchase mine locally so this review will focus on the product and not the price.

If you are purchasing this for a specific recipe, do not waste the remaining bottle. There are many uses that may not seem obvious at first. My favorite is to base a salad dressing on a teaspoon of this whisked into three tablespoons of olive oil and some dried mint. Pour that over cucumbers, feta cheese and fresh tomatoes for a real treat. This is also a perfect substitute for any recipe or dish that calls for lemon. In fact, use this in lieu of preserved lemon in any tagine dish for a fresh flavor on an ancient way of cooking.

If you are counting calories or carbs be aware that a tablespoon contains 40 calories, 8 grams of carbs (from sugar) and a gram of fat. If you are counting carbs using this does require close attention, but the fat content is manageable at a single gram, and there is no sodium or cholesterol. Overall, this is relatively healthy.

The quality of this, like other Cortas products, is exceptional. I also use their rosewater and orange blossom water and will use no other brand if I have a choice because of the intensity of flavor. This is no exception.

I really didn't know what foods to put this on, but today I roasted baby carrots and parsnips and when they were almost tender I drizzled only one tablespoon over the veggies and roasted another 5-10 minutes. The vegetables were singing in my mouth!

I bought 4 bottles of Pomegranate Molasses after seeing a yummy recipe using it. Gave them to friends and family cooks for Christmas gifts. They LOVED it!! They had never heard of it and were very intrigued to try it. Highly recommended!

Only caveat, I found that I could not use it due to a conflict of Pomegranate with my thyroid medication. :(

When I lived in Florida, I used to go to a Persian restaurant that served Chicken Koresh and used this pomegranate sauce, butternut squash and walnuts to make an absolutely wonderful dish. I bought the cookbook and have been making that dish ever since using this product. Oh, I should mention that this is very product that the chef used to make the dish in the Persian restaurant so I knew it was good before I ever tried it. Got for it, you won't be sorry.
