My 91 year old mother can hear this phone ring with it's two-bell ringer. In fact, it's too loud. I'm going to put tape around one of the bells to reduce the volume of the ring. She often does not hear the high-pitched, electronic, chirping phones. The built-in amplifier with rotary volume control built into the handset is very intuitive to use. She becomes confused with the multi-purpose loudness buttons on cordless phones. The amplifier produces a very loud, very clear sound. The phone is heavy which is very important. The phone does not slide off the table when the coiled cord is stretched. It doesn't slide around when punching in a phone number. The buttons are large and well spaced. She has trouble with the small, closely-spaced buttons on most phones, but she has no problem at all with this phone. She sometimes hung up her Trimline phone backwards resulting in an emergency visit because she couldn't be reached by phone. This phone is all but impossible to hang up incorrectly. And it is beautiful. It is a glossy, red phone that really catches the eye. It was brand new. Satisfaction rating? Completely satisfied. And it cost considerably less on Amazon than the first one did which I bought directly from an online dealer in Cortelco phones. Finally, it works when the power fails, unlike most cordless phones. She has it at her bedside. If the power fails during a storm, she can still call for help.
UPDATE: WORKED FOR ONLY 2 WEEKS. THEN THE CARBON MICROPHONE CARTIRDGE HAD TO BE REPLACED. MY MOTHER HAD TO DO WITHOUT IT FOR ABOUT 9 MONTHS UNTIL I COULD GET BACK TO MISSOURI TO DIAGNOSE THE PHONE. I HAPPENED TO HAVE AN OLD PHONE I COULD SWAP THE MICROPHONE CARTRIDGE WITH. A SECOND ONE OF THESE PHONE, IDENTICAL IN EVERY WAY, THAT I PURCHASED DIRECTLY FROM CORTELCO ARRIVED DOA. IT WOULD NOT GET A DIAL TONE, RING OR DO ANYTHING AT ALL. APPARENTLY THE PRIMARY CIRCUIT BOARD IS DEFECTIVE.

I bought this phone for power outages, but I'm realizing that I have to find it a permanent full-time spot. It's a nice old-fashioned phone, with a big, comfy handset and a roomy button array. But most of all, it is just wonderful to see -- a beautiful clear red.

Very nice, sturdy feel. Love the volume control on the receiver. Great bell ringer. Red cord is just the right length for a desk phone. Color of photo is true to product color. No problems other than company sent and charged us for two (may have been an Amazon glitch or user error though). Return went smoothly though, so no big deal.
