This book is extremely difficult to use without the software,and the software sells separately... The diagnostic charts areactually quite useful, but it is a tremendous waste of time to navigate through all the computations manually. The best use of this book, without the software, is for practice drills.... Beware.

I have never taken a typing class, so when I needed to learn how to type , I turned to several popular software programs. Although, I found these products helpful, I was not able to progress beyond a certain point until I purchased Cortez Peters' Championship Keyboarding drills. Once I started Cortez Peters' I showed immediate improvement in my accuracy and to a lesser extent my speed. I found it clearly more effective than any software program available.

I thought I had maxed out my typing speed and accuracy when I started using this book in college. While I absolutely detest the drills, especially the backward drills, it has really helped to increase both my speed and accuracy in a mere month! My disk that came with my book got cracked however, so now I am trying to locate a new disk, without luck at this point.

This book is fine,except for the fact that the wire in the top of the book is not good,for some reason when you turn the pages they stuck in the wire and that causes some of the pages to start tearing the less than 1 month book look old
