The group does sing in dialect from Naples, however they do not sing out against the Italian government. You would have to understand Italian, espcially Dialeto Napoletano, to really appreciate what 99 Posse is saying.

99 POSSE - CORTO CIRCUITO,

I LOVE this album. I saw 99 Posse Live in Biella in 1995 and their awesome sound and the quality of their music is no studio altered fluke. They are extrordinary musicians and performers who are very passionate about their cause. I have friends who don't even speak italian who are still really able to feel the music and enjoy it. I recommend "Quello Che" and of course, "Corto Circuito". Sono verramente bravi.

99 Posse's Corto Circuito is a great cd. It has songs to fit any mood as well as good vocals and sound. The messages of the songs are also very good. When put all together, the cd is awsome!

99 Posse speaks out about the italian goverenment and produces an intensity in their music which is something never before heard in italian music. Sung in napolian dialect, it combines rap with a computer generated sound. Tracks to listen to are Boungiorno and Quello Che.

99 posse, born in napoli (1991), has had a major influence on the underground urban culture of italy, having collaborated with such great artists as almamegretta, speaker cenzou, mad professor, linton kweesi johnson, bisca, ecc. their lyrics address issues of social injustice in the political system of modern italy and worldwide issues of human rights, freedom, and globalization. 99 posse's latest release, NA_99_10°, has made it to italy's "TOP TEN" list.
