About the Author

Harry W. Ilaria was born in Newark, NJ in 1948. He graduated Fairleigh Dickinson University with a BS degree in Mathematics and pursued a career as a computer programmer. He and his wife, Karen, met in high school and were married in 1971. They currently reside in Montville, NJ. In 1990 he founded HI-Tech Software which is now the worlds leading producer of automobile related informational software titles.

The volume of ads on this CD did make it interesting, and it contained many ads ads from the 50's which were a true bonus. Nonetheless, most of the ads were only scanned in with average quality from magazines, and the collection is not comprehensive. I enjoyed the product, but was assuming that the creator had access to GM's archives to produce this. It appears that it is a collection produced by thumbing through back issues of old auto magazines.

This CDROM is great! Not only does it give you a picture of almost every US magazine ad for the Corvette placed by Chevrolet, it also include many gorgeous ads by other companies that feature the Corvette to market their products (Coke, Hertz, the complete set of AC/Delco 'Vette ads, the Malibu Corvette Speedboad, the Corvette Pinball machine, and many others). It also has a great check-list of all known magazine ads placed by Chevy. If you are a collector, this list is worth the price alone. High resolution ads may also be printed or opened in most any graphics package. You will not be disappointed.
