5.0 out of 5 stars Great bike for the price!
I researched a number of exercise bikes, and ultimately decided that I wanted one without the bells and whistles of the $400+ models. This bike perfectly fits the bill, given that the computer accurately tracks miles ridden, calories burned, time, speed, etc. My husband assembled it without any trouble. Tension is easily adjusted, as is seat height. The bike is...

3.0 out of 5 stars Inexpensive but incomplete
This bike is very light and very simple to put together. It is well constructed and has a nice electronic readout. It is light and compact, which makes it easy to move around and store.
The major drawback to this bicycle is that it does not have much resistance. I have had this bike set on the highest resistance ever since I purchased it a couple of months ago, and...

Amazon Verified Purchase(What's this?)

The bike is relatively compact, and fits in the corner of a room without being obtrusive. It's lightweight, so it can also be easily moved. For anyone who is interested in staying in shape at home and doesn't want to pay a hefty purchase price, this is a great option that's truly fun to ride.

One note: the product I received is actually turquoise and white, not black and white (as seen in Amazon's pictures), and reads "Cory Everson" on the side rather than "jamz FITNESS."

5.0 out of 5 stars Affordable and Compact, May 22, 2008

This bike is absolutely perfect for those looking for something very simple and affordable. I had zero difficulty putting the bike together and I am highly mechanically challenged (and I cannot spell so sorry in advance). The bike runs very smooth, silent and stabilized. I recommend this bike for someone that needs something small with moderate settings; being I am super out of shape, even the "easier" settings get my heart rate going nuts. I am 5'2" with short legs so, for me, the seat adjustment worked just fine, however someone with longer legs may have issues since the bike is so stout and compact. I personally didnt need an expensive, massive bike with 50 settings and programs; just something to exercise with while watching tv. The only negative I can think of is the seat is a bit uncomfortable but maybe it is because my bottom is so big. :)

This bike is very light and very simple to put together. It is well constructed and has a nice electronic readout. It is light and compact, which makes it easy to move around and store.
The major drawback to this bicycle is that it does not have much resistance. I have had this bike set on the highest resistance ever since I purchased it a couple of months ago, and it barely gives me a decent workout. The highest setting is probably equivalent to a 3 out of 10 on a standard exercise bicycle.
The pedal strap on my bike also broke this weekend. It is still under warranty, so that is not a deal breaker, but it is still a major nuisance.
Given what I know now, I probably would not have purchased this bike. The two-in-one elliptical cross trainer we had before this for a similar price had it's share of problems, but overall was a better product.
[Added 11/26/08] If I could do it over again, I would rate this bike one-star. The pedal is still broken and I will have to send the entire bike back to Jamz Fitness as Amazon's waranty is only for 30 days. The seat has become unusable also.

2.0 out of 5 stars "some assebly required"..., October 25, 2008

Be prepared for EXTENSIVE "some assembly required". It comes in box with hundreds of nuts, bolts, screws and other stuff. Aside from damage to casing, it works all right. We had to pay a staff of men to assembly it. Not for the novice or 82 year old females.

4.0 out of 5 stars Great little bike, October 24, 2008
This review is from: Cory Everson 5100MB Upright Mag Exercise Bike (Sports)
I am 5' 8" tall [very long legs] so it did take some getting use to [as this bike is much more compact than my previous bike.] Within 2 days the computer stopped working but one quick call to number provided in the manuel and I had a replacement within 2 weeks. The colors are silver and teal [not black and white as shown.] Pros: The low price; it doesn't take up a lot of space; the ride is smooth; and the manuel adjustment wheel [to increase or decrease the intensity of your workout.] It also has a pretty good warranty. [At the time of purchase, I bought the extended replacement plan to.] Cons: The seat doesn't have much padding at all [so a seat replacement or a gel cover might be needed.]
All in all, it's a good bike for the money and after [1] month of use, I am very happy with it.
